Had stayed here for couple of nights in Jan 2013. Good hotel with spacious rooms. Can't comment on food, as I was there for a business conference and didn't get to taste food from this hotel. Service is at par, as they helped to arrange for a taxi even during odd hours

A spacious, clean room, and lovely service. We were treated to some free goodies, including fruit and drinks, and a drinks voucher for the bar (for booking online). The hotel felt a little empty (but we weren't complaining!) - there's a nice bar area, although we didn't try the restaurants or breakfast. Our room had a great view over the city and of the sunset. The hotel only took 25 mins or so from the airport.

The only downsides were: The car park is a little tricky to access from the hotel (and its decor and upkeep is sadly lacking) and water from the shower seemed to go everywhere (although the bathroom was lovely, with a separate bath and double sinks). The hotel is also a bit of a walk from some of the attractions in Seville - but if you like walking it's super easy, and there is the option of taking the underground from a nearby stop.

Room Tip: The views of the city from the front of the building are stunning - but you might find you hear the...

Our experience with the Melia Sevilla was outstanding. The front desk was very helpful and kind. The rooms were accommodating( small but that is most hotels in Europe) We stayed for 10 days and would go back to this hotel. The location was ideal and we were able to walk most everywhere!

Room Tip: Get a room with a view, makes for a wonderful experience. We had a view of the Plaza de Espana and a...

Stayed at the Melia Sevilla between Christmas and New Year in a Level room with views over the Plaza Espana. Very efficient and friendly check in at the Level desk with drinks provided while the formalities were being taken care of. Room was spacious and clean with good bathroom. Buffet breakfast was excellent with an amazing choice of dishes.
Quick taxi ride to the old town but we found it also easy to walk back to the hotel on occasions. Free wi fi which worked well in the room. First time at a Melia hotel and would recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms with view towards the Plaza Espana are pleasant.

Hotel Melia, is one of the finest hotels in Seville, its a 40 min drive from the airport but they can provide you an airport transfer at an additional cost- Taking a cab from outside the airport will be cheaper. rooms are spacious, the breakfast buffet is fabulous. Its walking distance from Seville university and the famous santa cruz area.

Room Tip: There are two Melia hotels, choose carefully, but im sure its equally good.

The hotel has a very nice lobby area, and a seemingly nice hotel bar, the Blue Lounge. The room was quite spacious, with a lovely view over a nearby cathedral. Bathroom was well equipped and clean. However, the housekeeping service - when asked to iron and launder 3 items, chose to not follow the directions on the form I had attached, and did so on their own accord, of course resulting in a more extensive bill. Unacceptable. The hotel bar - service was terrible. After being ignored by two very stressed bartenders(?), one of them finally looked like he was taking an order at the counter. However, he just waved dismissively, then poured a glass of beer and went into the backroom. Through the door I could actually see him drinking it before he came back out to take the order! This would not be possible in Scandinavia at least... They then served the poorest excuse for a mojito ever. Not worth it, and pulling the overall hotel experience down.

Smell of sewage permeates the whole building. It is under renovation, but not mentioned at time of reservation... tried to access the spa. Closes at 5pm. On january 1st is closed the whole day... it comes out that the gym and spa are not hotel facilities. Reserved a king size bed, received a 2 bedrooms.. no king size available, we are a convention hotel.. never ever shared an hotel room in my whole life when on a work related trip, must be different in Spain. At the arrival the access keys received at check-in didn't work. Going back to reception we are ensured a technician will come and check... in the receptionist view we should have spent 30 minutes in front of the room with our luggage. Still here. Hope won't get worst than this
