“Hotel Stay”

It was a very good hotel. The breakfast selection was good alot of choice with hot and cold selections. Just a few niggles regarding pillow selection which was not supportive on the neck. For a multi national hotel group the tv selectoin only had three english speaking channels which were news related More attention to detail the room could be vacuumed on a regular basis and the safe cupboard door needed fixing as it would not close properly.Good restaurants nearby walking distance from the hotel.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are excellent.

Melia Sevilla offers value for money, a great location, a brilliant breakfast (and welcoming breakfast staff), and the pool was a huge bonus. The room was fairly comfortable. The reception staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming - they had moments of being slightly more amiable, but on the whole they did not seem to care whether or not you were enjoying your stay.

Location: 15-25 minute walk from Catedral and Barrio Santa Cruz. South of University of Seville and all the main attractions. However, it's very easy to walk to the main area and it's nice to get away from all the tourists with only a 15 min walk. It's nice as well, not like you're walking through a seedy area at all.

Room: Very nice room for the price. It looks like a mid-level Starwood hotel but at around $100 a night it's hard to believe. They also have many extras like shaving kits, toothbrush kits, etc. so they're not nickel and diming you either, which most places at this price point do. There are 2 things I'd wish were different. 1) the "queen" bed is actually 2 doubles put together. 2) the lighting sucks, it's very hard to see in the room without natural light.

Service: Didn't use very much at the hotel but everyone was very nice, although they did have some trouble with english.

Other FYI: There is a "LEVEL" service where they try to make you upgrade for extras but I didn't think it was worth it. There is food nearby and the rooms aren't that much better. It's not like you're going to be upgraded to a St.Regis quality room or amenities.

Room Tip: Ask to face North (the cathedral) on the highest floor you can.

It is a clean and big hotel with nice facilities.
It is in a nice location, a ten minute walk into the city. Very nearby Plaza Espana.
The hotel is not very modern, but good enough.
Ther personel were nice, gave good advices.

We loved the hotel although not the lighting in the interior rooms. Impossible to figure out. However the concierge desk and check in we're the best. Alejandro at check in was willing to do anything to make us happy. The concierge desk was staffed with knowledgable helpful people who made us feel so welcome. Lovely reception area and bar and delicious breakfast. We would recommend to all travelers.

Room Tip: I would choose an exterior room next time although smaller. Better light.

The rooms, location of the hotel are very nice. The staff though is terrible, rude, very unfriendly and slow. Every time we asked something we had to wait at least 15 min for an awnser. All over i dont think i would stay here again because of the very rude and unfriendly staff. What also is another point is that for the spa you have to pay, its expensive, whereas on the internet it looks like its included in the hotel so be aware!

The Melia Sevilla is walking distance from the city center and many local attractions. We stayed in one of the suites, which was spacious and allowed for privacy. We had a great view from our room, and enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. The hotel is beautiful and rooms are modern and very comfortable, but it was the service that impressed us the most. The staff was very friendly and dropped everything to help us figure out how to get one of our daughter's bag shipped to our final destination in Madrid. We opted for "the level" and did not regret it. The food was excellent.
