Stayed four nights here and had a room at the back. Room was cool and reasonably well appointed once you got there via a convoluted route. The worst thing was the shower which was only adequate. Great for a few days but wouldn't want to spend two weeks in the room (111). The views across Seville from the roof terrace are magnificent, especially at night. We ate on the roof one night and the food really was good. The jamon iberico almost melted on the tongue and the sea bass with hummus and sweet mustard sauce was just the business, even if a slightly unusual (to me) combination but it really worked. The staff were always friendly and helpful, readily coming up to the rooftop to serve us beers during the day when the bar / restaurant was not formally open. The hotel has a great central location and we were able to stroll all over the central city from it.

We (my husband, 79 year old father and I) stayed at this 4 star hotel in Seville for 2 nights in May 2014. There was valet parking (best to book this in advance), which was good because there is no convenient public car park nearby. It is in a quiet street just a short walk away from the cathedral and the Ghiralda, the Alcazar, the bullring and the the Golden Tower.

Check in was quick and efficient and the staff were all friendly and helpful, particularly when I tried to use my basic Spanish. The porter helped us with our luggage and parked our car for us.

The rooms are arranged around at least 2 atriums (our room was reached by going up in the lift from reception to floor 2, walking along several corridors until we reached another lift which took us up to the 3rd floor).

Our room was situated off a quieter atrium than the one whhere the main reception was located.

Our (family) room had a four poster bed and bathroom on one floor and then the 2nd bedroom and a bathroom were reached via marble stairs from the hallway off our room. There was also a door to a private rooftop terrace from the 2nd bedroom, but sadly there were no chairs to use on the terrace. The rooms were very quiet with no noise from the other guests, which was amazing as the hotel seemed to be very busy. There were air conditioning units in both bedrooms, though we had to move the 4 poster bed in our room to reach the air conditioning unit, which was rattlling, so that we could stuff a magazine between the unit and the wall to stop the rattling. After that, it was fine.

There was a good range of toiletries in the bathroom (including a small toilet bag containing, amongs other things, a sanitary towel, which was most thoughtful) and a hair dryer, as well as an over-bath shower which had good power.

Breakfast in the morning was served in a breakfast room off the main reception, and there was also a very pleasant courtyard area off the restaurant where guests could also eat breakfast. There was a very good selection of breakfast items - fruit juices, cereals, sliced fresh fruits, bread, rolls, croissants, cold meats and cheeses and bacon, sausages, eggs etc. The staff kept the servery very well stocked.

There is a very nice rooftop restaurant reached via the lift from the main reception. The restaurant has a fabulous view over to the cathedral and the Ghiralda.

The hotel was kept very clean throughout, and my only negative comment was that it would have been nice to have some chairs in our bedroom so that we could socialise in the evening with my father, rather than having to sit on our bed.

I would highly recommend this hotel, particularly for its convenient, fairly easy to find location, its valet parking, breakfasts and roofttop restaurant, as well as the friendly helpful staff. However, it is quite expensive when compared to other similar or higher standard hotels we stayed in Spain, but I guess Seville is a busy and popular city, hence the high prices.

Room Tip: If you want a good night's sleep, ask for a room off a quieter atrium (we had room 327).

This hotel is well located to visit the main attractions of Seville. However there is something about it that just doesn't make it a preferred choice. Perhaps it stems from the grumpy attitude of the desk clerks and service staff in the bar and restaurant. When we arrived there was no place to park our car as the hotel parking had been usurped by a large number of people who appeared to be a traveling group of fans and were spilling out of the " pop-up" bar that was part of the hotel. I say pop-up, because on the following day it was gone and reverted to an empty room. We finally were able to get the attention of a hotel employee who told us that they would attend to us in a moment ( a moment turned out to be over 35 minutes).

We are then taken to our room, which is a junior suite with the sleeping area in the loft and the bathroom facilities down three steps from the living area. There is ample room however it turns out that there are no windows in either the living area or bedroom space. The only window is in the bathroom and it overlooks an airshaft. Quite, but gloomy.

The rooftop restaurant bar offered a nice view but the menu was not appealing. The nice thing is the hotel is located close to an active bar/restaurant section of town that seemed to attract not only tourists, but also locals. This was convenient.

Nothing particularly wrong with the hotel, but at the same time nothing that stands out to make it a good choice.

The front desk personnel were a little stiff but friendly enough when we engaged them or asked for help. Our room was on the small side but comfortable. It was the first week of April and it was a bit warm in the room (the A/C was not yet available but we survived by opening the window). We were disappointed that the roof top bar was never open the 4 nights we stayed even though the weather was not to blame.

Best attribute - located within easy walking distance of the Cathedral, the Alcazar, the Plaza del Toros and other points of interest in Seville.

The hotel reception area looked luxurious, cool and serene and our check-in experience was good. We stayed for three nights in a Junior Suite. The room was comfortable but a little tired, the paint work could do with a refresh. The bathroom was spacious but the over the bath shower was an attachment to the taps which had a small shower head with variable water flow and temperature. The reason I titled this review as disappointing is because for the price we paid for our stay did not reflect value for money for the €600. Breakfast was not included, the television picture was fuzzy, there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. For me, this was disappointing.

The hotel location was excellent and all the sights we wanted visit were within walking distance.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 225 which did not have much natural light. The bath was located next to a window...

We had a one night stay here while we were exploring Seville. The reception area is beautiful. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. Our shower wasn't the best with low pressure and fluctuating temperatures. The hotel is in a great location and all the main attractions are within walking distance. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful - one of them spoke english and helped us get our car parked and explained everything to us. The parking at EU16.50 per day was reasonable and a lot cheaper than some of the other hotels I looked at. Would definitely stay here again. Seville is a fantastic city - a must see.

Stayed for 4 nights at end of April, with friends. No problem with check-in, even tho' we were very early (11am). Friendly receptionist sorted all the paperwork, took signatures and stored our luggage whilst we started to explore the city. After a light lunch our keys were ready and luggage already delivered to room. We were on 4th floor in older (main) building with side view of Cathedral and overlooking the tapas bar / courtyard. Noise was not an issue even on Friday / Saturday night in room 408 but possibly guest fronting Calle Castellar may experience more noise from there. We were aware of tables and chairs being moved on the roof terreace restaurant above us when service was being prepared each evening but really not a problem. We did not eat at the hotel as there is such a variety on offer elsewhere in the city. Had drinks (reasonably priced) in the rooftop bar with views of the cathedral and the tables looked inviting.
The hotel is well placed for all the main sights, especially if you want to explore slightly further afield than the Centro / Santa Cruz areas. Beds very comfortable with a pillow menu available. Room made up every day, seemingly with pillowcase change and new towels(?) The modest size room safe held our phones / tablets / kindle / cash etc but you will struggle to get a full size laptop in there. The safes electronic lock works with your credit / debit card but if that leaves you (and us) uneasy we found that our Waitrose storecard worked just as well - the lock only needs a magnetic strip to recognise. Free wifi lasted for the week, if we were there that long, and was adequate for googling and mail checking but would struggle with video downloading. Premium wifi was available for €3 per day. Some reviewers have mentioned the standard of decoration and décor. To be fair the hotel is in a very old building so one should bear that in mind but, whilst the common parts seem to have high quality materials kept in good repair, certainly the bathroom in our accommodation could have done with some TLC. that is reflected in the 'average' score. Otherwise a solid 'very good' would have been achieved. Would recommend tho'.

Room Tip: Can only comment on 408 with view of Cathedral and opening windows onto external courtyard / ground...
