“Poor Location, Average hotel”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

Pros:
- Modern rooms
- fast free wifi

Cons:
- in a secluded lane off the main road
- 8-10 mins walk to bus station, grocery/deli/supermarket
- 25-30 mins walk to city center/shopping district
- no direct bus from near hotel to near city center
- Garbage just outside hotel gate
- Cold reception, Housekeeping entered room without knocking
- we had stayed in various hotels in other cities of Spain at much cheaper price at much better locations with much warmer welcome and friendlier staff

In the San Lorenzo district, in the old part Seville the three star Eurostars Regina is in Calle San Vincente just one street back from the River Guadalquivir.

Great location for leaving the car (in the secure underground car park) and walking around the city. We did just that and found it an easy stroll to the restaurant area of the Alameda de Hércules and on from there to the Giralda, the Cathedralm the main shopping area, the Bull Ring, Torre d'Oro and all the main sights.

The hotel is comfortable, clean and very welcoming. The staff were very helpful, not only on the day to day things like giving information, recommending restaurants etc, but they organised flowers for my wife's birthday and even coilluded in the surprise.

Big thanks to Macarena on reception.

We booked a two-night special offer online and it was excellent value. Didn't take breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that.

The room was superb - a front room on the second floor, but we were assured that traffic noise would NOT be a problem - and they were right.

For an economy stay with good service and a friendly welcome you'd be hard to beat this place. Thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the secure parking at 12 euros a day well worth it. And ask for rooms in the main...

My biggest problem with this hotel is the size of the room and the bed. The bed on one side was put against the wall the on the other side of the bed there was just enough room to stand. No wonder the bed is this small. This double room really only had space for a 1,5 person bed. The first night I was alone because my girlfriend arrived a day later, and the bed was ok in size for 1 definately not for 2. The second night my girlfriend and I were not really able to turn during sleeping. As a picture say more than words I refer you to see the picture I attach to this post. From the other picture you see this was really a room for 2, at a certain point I was thinking they might have given me a 1p room which was not the case.

The location was also very poor. It is a 20 minutes walk to get to the touristic area. Tried the bus one night, that even took longer because it first will go to other parts of the city. It is close to metropol parasol though and has a good restaurant nearby.

The distance from the bed to the door is maybe 5ft. The door and walls are of poor quality and not able to keep the sound out of the room. Everytime someone passes your room you could hear it.

The reason this hotel earned a second star is that the hotel is clean and wifi works well.

I would not stay here again nor will I recommend it .

Room Tip: rooms are very small, you'd better find another hotel

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. Relative to our budget we paid top dollar - about $550 Australian ($415 euros). The hotel is in a quiet part of town although a bit of a walk to the major attractions. The bedroom and bathroom are clean with a good shower.
Our room had a VERY small balcony and overlooked the street. It was VERY small (too small for the double bed), there was no space to put suit cases and although there was a wardrobe with hanging space, the room design was too awkard and cramped for it to be of much use. There is a desk and chair but not enough room to use either.
If I was in backpacker accommodation at 35 euro a night this might be acceptable but not at over 130 euro a night!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the street.

Seville is a gorgeous place and Hotel Eurostars Regina is absolutely great!

Location is perfect: Near the "action" without the "action noise"

Super, hyper clean.

Very confortable bed.

Free wi-fi internet (in the bedroom, excellent connection)

Perfect air conditioner.

Flat screen TV with dozens of channel options

If you like to take a shower, you will find the best shower in this hotel! Modern, with a LOT of water coming from the shower and a strong jet. It is touch to find a shower as good as this one!

Staff super friendly.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel (it would be paid separately) so I don't know if it is good or not. We had a very good breakfast (and very cheap) just around the corner at a small Cafe.

I highly recommend Seville as a great city to visit and Hotel Eurostar Regina is excellent. Value of the money is 10.

When returning to Seville I will look nowhere else!
