Hotel America - Seville

We spent 5 days in Seville and it was amazing. The people were great and the food was delicious. Virginia at front desk went above and beyond her job. The breakfast servers were great and helpful. We left before 6:00a.m. so the made us a pick-nick breakfast. It was close to every thing, restaurants, El Corte Ingles, shopping centers and a pharmacy and store where we could by water and snacks! We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and our friends and family. We would love to stay there again if ever in Seville.

First of all, from what i read and personally experienced, for the same level of hotel and same amount of money you spend, European hotels generally are worse than their counterparts in America and Asia. For example, many things don't come standard, such as AC, internet and Safe box, just to name a few. In my ignorant personal opinion, you really need to adjust your expectations and do your research. That is why i am writing reviews here for my European trips, because tripadvisor's reviews helped me a lot as far as selecting the right hotels.

I stayed here two nights in June. I would recommend this hotel, because i think overall you get good value for your buck.

Good:
1. For the price, hotel is in an excellent location, it's not right next to the cathedral and Palace, but it's short walk away. Pretty quiet neighborhood, right next to a shopping center too. Super safe, you can walk around after midnight, absolutely no problem

2. AC works well, there is a safe, room and bathroom are clean. Hardwood floor.

Bad:
Wireless internet is pretty painful, borderline unusable.

Additional note: the front desk people don't speak a whole lot of English. Not that it's a bad thing, just FYI.

It's a decent hotel. I would recommend this place for the location and overall value.

We stayed for 4 nights.Hotel is well decorated, clean and comfy.Receptionist were very friendly, understanding and patient. We loved to find a mini bar in our room, which was very valuable.Highly recommended for people who want to stay in the city centre, its easy to get to main attractions, monuments and really handy to find a big shopping centre literally next door.

Stayed here for 3 nights in July. Good central location at good value. Room was clean with good air con much needed when 42c outside and little or no street noise. Very handy to be right near El Corte Ingles with a supermarket in the basement. Was also pleased when we were able to check in early around 11am rather than having to wait until 3pm as advertised. Breakfast was good also so cannot fault this hotel.

It's a clean, neat hotel with a great staff who are very helpful and has a great location. Don't go in with too many expectations. The rooms have all the basics and are well sized, it's quiet a calm and quiet place, close to a shopping street and quite a few restaurants. A good no frills place to put up in. Simple breakfast which had the the general juice, bread, meats and cheese.

I stayed in this very handily located hotel for 10 days in June / July 2013. The reception staff are all very friendly and helpful. My room ( 602 ) although compact was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. ( Air conditioning, a small fridge intended for the mini bar but useful for your own drinks etc, a good shower, comfortable bed ). The room was very quiet most of the time. The food at breakfast time was pretty basic with not as much choice as I've had in other countries, but the food was very good, especially the very fresh fruit. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, small sausages, bacon, toast, cheese, ham, cereal, rolls, yogurt, tinned fruit, fresh fruit, coffee, and fruit juice. There were other things but this is what I mainly had. The waiters / waitresses were all very friendly. The dinning area was very smart and clean. I walked for miles and miles around the city and found the location to be pretty central for most of the places I went to. The is a huge supermarket across the road for water etc too. Would I stay at this hotel again if going to Seville? DEFINATELY !

Room Tip: Room 602 was in the shade all day apart from sunrise and at the very end of the day. The room was ve...

We were traveling by car so underground parking just across the hotel was quite handy. Our GPS could not find “Plaza del Duque” and for those having the same problem, hotel is located next to the El Corte Ingles. Sevilla Cathedral and Barrio de Santa Cruz is about 15-20 minutes walk through the shopping district and Plaza de Espana is about 45-50 minutes away.

Hotel is clean and relatively quiet. We were on the sixth floor and our room was facing Plaza del Duque where the street vendors are. Taxi station is just underneath and we still slept under open window.

Breakfast was excellent and there are a lot of small restaurants around which seemed to be somewhat less expensive than those around Cathedral.

English speaking staff very friendly but not well informed about night life in town.
