“Good base to tour a beautiful city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2012

We stayed here as part of our Trafalgar tour. It was an easy walk to the cathedral, restaurants and shopping areas of this beautiful city. The hotel is on a side street and rooms face a courtyard room so it's a very quiet location. The air conditioning worked well. We slept fine, although the hotel couldn't provide us with a double bed-twin beds only. Breakfast buffet included whole fruit, cereal and the basics, such as bacon and scrambled eggs. Don't miss the flamenco show-so amazing, it leaves you breathless!

The hotel was by no means extravagant, but I had no complaints with it. My friend and I had a little trouble finding it the first time, but it is only a 10 or 15 minute walk from the cathedral. The bathroom was very clean, which is one thing I always look at. We did not stay for breakfast the next morning, but I can only imagine the 9 euro price meant it was pretty good!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of our guided tour before heading for Lisbon. The hotel is somewhat older and located about 20 minutes walk from the centre of the city. There are many shops nearby and a plaza just in front of the hotel. Our room was clean but the beds were not comfortable. Breakfast was good. Seville is a beautiful city and of considerable historical interest and there is much to see and do from the hotel as a base. At least, wander the streets and visit the Jewish quarters, the Maria Luisa park, and the Giralda Tower. Experience a bull fight or as we did a spectacular flamenco show with dinner!

Of all the hotels we stayed at in Spain, this was by far our least favorite. The location was pretty decent.. we could walk to pretty much everywhere we need to go, but the walks were often far, and it was by no means the best location you can find. The place is really old, and with that comes some unusual amenities (or lack thereof). There's no safe, but there is an old trouser press and an installed music speaker system. There are only a couple of stations, but the music was surprinsingly decent and the sound quality actually enjoyable. This was the only plus side to this hotel, however. There is no free Wi-fi of any kind, not even in the lobby, and the comically old hair dryer in the bathroom will burn you if you hold it too long. Also, there are no "matrimonial beds" or queen sized+ beds. We had to push our two beds together so we could try to sleep comfortably together. But the beds are so hard, that sleeping comfortably was out of the question. Also the AC was sketchy; it broke on the first night and we slept with the windows open, but they fixed it and it worked (for the most part) for the next 2 nights. Never got cold enough to really use the blanket though. You're better off sleeping with the window open.

The location is handy for the train station, airport bus and an easy walk to the centre. The rooms were decent and the cleaning excellent, however the beds a little uncomfortable. We got a good price on the hotel so overall was excellent value for money and we were very happy.
However if you are looking for a 4-star hotel and are happy to pay 4-star prices then there are much better options in Seville.

Clean hotel, location was walking distance to the cathedral and other tourist attractions. Safe neighborhood. The rooms are slightly outdated but considering the price it was worth it. Staff speak English and are helpful.
