We stayed In this hotel for two nights whilst visiting Seville to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
Concierge was very helpful and our room was very clean and spacious. We appreciated the fact that the hotel catered for both families and couples and did this extremely well with specific separate facilities and dining times.
Taxis were readily available and very cheap. Would stay here again.More

Negatives - Did not meet expectations. No balcony to rooms, tired looking bathroom, poor workmanship within the building, location is somewhat out of the way & it’s not too central.l although only a €6-7 taxi ride to main areas it does add up each time. Not 5 star luxury if that’s what you’re looking for. The simplest of things like a complimentary bottle of water within the room are not included. Only 1 coffee pod for the room which is annoying if you have 2 guests or want more than 1 coffee.
The gym was fairly basic although modern and clean it did not have much by way of machines and weights. Appreciate that not everyone cares to hit the gym but even for a hotel gym it’s pretty basic.
The hotel looks great but it’s a little bit smoke and mirrors - not much substance to it really.
Also, they did not have any recycling bins which I found a little strange.
Positives - The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. My air pods went missing and although this area was covered by cctv they were not able to check cctv due to data protection and requested I notify the police of the missing headphones.
The staff overall are great.
The standard of cleanliness is also very high, no problems at all with regard to this.
Overall the hotel is more like a corporate stop over hotel suited for business travellers using the facilities for a conference or for a one night stay.

Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento is located in Isla de la Cartuja, a green area next to Guadalquivir river, the best place to practice sports like running, kayaking, canoeing, walking, biking, and very well connected to the city centre by car, taxi, bus, or bike.
We apologise as the gym was not up to your standards and expectations, and we are currently working on bringing new machines to improve our services.

Long lead times to eat and the same dish is not consistent i.e. different portions every time.
Would recommend the restaurant to put quantities e.g 12oz etc for their dishes and have the same presentation

Good hotel, but bad service, special when you eat, you have to wait long time, I do not expect this for a barcelo hotel, they need to put more personal in the restauran and have more optios for eat as it is a big hotel.

I did not fully enjoy my first stay at this hotel, so as I meant to return to Isla Magica and Sevilla I priced a stay at a Suite with breakfast a couple of months in advance though the barceló site. The price was reasonable, so I booked it.
I have to say the difference was astounding. The Suite is amazing, 80 sqm with a huge terrace and a private Jacuzzi. The breakfast was extremely varied with everything you could possibly want, including local pastry and dishes.
Even the staff seemed nicer!
Took an uber twice to the center for dinner and to visit the cathedral. Very convenient and affordable.
Asked to check out at 1 pm and request was granted.
We also had access to a nearby small lounge with drinks - water, juice, coffee - and small bites.
They also offer kids activities - pirate themed - that the girls took advantage of.
Nothing to complain about, really, I even forgive them for not realizing it was my birthday.
Im from the US and don’t speak to much Spanish but the lady at the front desk spoke perfect English and answered all my questions (wish I remembered her name). The hotel is far enough from the center to get a quiet night of sleep but close enough to walk. In fact I didn’t even take any taxis. The hotel was clean and I found that they had a sufficient amount of options for dining throughout the day. Parking was easy and I have a American SUV, it cost about 16 euros per day. If your a solo traveler or with a family this place is worth booking! Also it has a water park and theme park right across the street, great for kids and adults.
