Unbelievable Value

This is a modern hotel with fantastic service, rooms and breakfast. It’s a 10-15 min ride to the heart of Seville, but the staff and accommodations are so nice and reasonably priced, I would pick this hotel anytime.

Beautiful Hotel

Modern. Up to date Great Wi-Fi. Concierge very helpful and accommodating. Restaurant and bar on the premises. Rooms large. Bathrooms ultra modern. Convenient location. Taxis easily accessible. Beds comfortable. Staff comfortable

Too far from Seville, not a 5 star experience

The room we stayed in was a recently renovated premium room and one of the nicer ones. It was noisy due to a corporate event and we were shown a deluxe room as an alternative. This was in part of the hotel yet to be upgraded and was very small and shabby. No five star touches or frills. Have to pay for everything extra. Breakfast and car parking not included in standard rate. Pool was good but lots rubbish lying about not cleared up. Bed was comfy but generally the room lacked little touches expect of 5 star place. Only two coffee pods available. Room service was poor, they got the order wrong and it took a while to resolve. It's a 45 min trek into Seville centre, but about 10 euro by taxi. I would not go back here.

Enjoyable stay

I’ve just come back from a 2 night stay at the Barcelo. I was there for a 40th birthday celebration with 18 others and one of my friends had booked so I didn’t really know what to expected

The hotel is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the airport which costs around 25 Euros. We arrived at the hotel at about 11.30am and were able to check in straight away. We spent most of the afternoon at the pool area which is big and as you would expect in a City like Seville rather popular during the day. As well as the outdoor pool there was a small one inside together with a gym.

The pool area offers hot snacks during the day such as Club Sandwich Pizza and Burgers. I had a ham and cheese toasted baguette which came with potato Wedges. All the food at the pool is fairly basic but fine if you need a snack.

One thing I did find very disappointing was that there was no facility to recycle anything. As you can probably expect with a group of 19 of us we got through a lot of beers and soft drinks. All of the plastic bottles ended up going in the bin and there was no draught beer served outside only cans which again all went in the bin, your also given a plastic cup every time you purchase a can of something.

Having not been to Spain for a few years I don’t know if this is down to the country not doing enough recycling or whether the Hotel was being slack but it was disappoint to see all those tins and plastic going straight into the bin.

The Hotel served breakfast but it wasn’t on our booking so I didn’t have it. Some of our group did pay the additional €18 for it but I got some mixed feedback from them.

The location of the Hotel is a little out of the city centre, about 2km. If your feeling energetic it is walkable but we chose to get taxi’s which were cheap at around €6-8 and readily available. For anyone with kids there is a large Waterpark next door.

The rooms were spacious and the shower worked brilliantly. The rooms also had tv’s but only a couple of need channels were available in English. There was also a mini bar and room service was available throughout the night.

All in all we had a very good stay and I would recommend to people visiting the City. However the recycling issue did bother me a bit.

Are you sure this deserves 5 stars?

Me and my family just came to this hotel from a 4-star hotel. All i have to say is the 4 star hotel was a LOT better in everything than this hotel. (and it wasn’t just because of location). We are a family of 4 and we have to stay in a pretty small room... i’d say it’s more like a 2 person room. I haven’t stayed enough here to know what the staff or service is really like, but I can tell you that the room is most definitely not what we expected. My family agrees and we don’t think the hotel deserves all 5 stars, i’d say it was more like 3 1/2 stars or something like that. Quite disappointed....
