“Our Only Disapointment in Sevilla”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

When I started to write about this restaurant, I noticed that I tend to write only for good experiences and I tend to skip the average ones. However this is the only one so far that I would never advise to a friend although it was advised to us from our hotel. It has a nice view and because of this we enjoyed the night. This is the only positive thing I can say. I hope the comments here will serve for the good of this restaurant and I shall look at Tripadvisor comments next year hoping that they brought up the quality and the value to the level the location deserves.

“terrible service”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

Nice shady terrace overlooking the city, but overpriced menu. The waiter told us - in a rude way- not to grab an extra chair to sit at the waterfront, but put us on a table further away from the water.
A small glass of beer or tinto de verano had the same price as a large vase elsewhere. Worst thing of all was that the waiter gave us the bill without asking just after he served our drinks. After a few minutes the waiter came back to tell us we had to pay the bill immediately. We feld very unwelcome to sit, relax and enjoy our drinks for a while on the lovely terrace! And there were still several empty tables, so the waiter was just unfriendly without a reason.

“Not worth the detour”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

A friend had this place listed in their guide book.
There were a lot of tourists in the place. This restaurant has been open since 1930 and this kind of place tends to live of its reputation and history. The food was very average and the price was not.
One good note was the quick service.

“Worst Paella ever”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

We thought this restaurant looked lovely - down by the riverside. We were ripped off. Our first courses was OK, but expensive (shrimps and minute whitebait), but our seafood paellas at E17 each were disgusting. Very small (less than 3 times the size of a E3 paella tapas), wet and with bullet peas. It certainly was not freshly cooked. It had no flavour and looked as if a couple of spoonfuls of dried up paella had been scooped form a pan, hot water added, stirred, some sea-food added then served. The bill for the meal, including only 2 small beers, was E66 - more than we paid in our 5 star hotel for 3 courses and a glass of wine.

“The most expensive way to throw up all night!”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

We were seduced by the view over the river and the cathedral. Then came the food that was boring, not even warm, served with an attitude. Then came the bill (81 euros for 4 dishes and bottled water!!! + stale bread), and later came the sickness. 3 out of 4 of us were sick that night. RUN before it is too late!
