Giralda Tower is now the bell tower of the cathedral, but this was originally the minaret of an older Mosque. A long but gently sloping passageway leads from the back of the cathedral to the top of the tower and the campanile. This was originally designed for the Muezzin to ride up on a horse to deliver the call to prayer, so it is an easy walk. There are plenty of places to rest on the way up. The views over the city from the top are amazing and well worth the climb.
