The location and comfort was excellent for the price. Great Value! The staff at the front desk were not very hospitable but everyone else was friendly. Lots of courtyards and quiet spaces and great old world flavor. We will stay there again next time!

Room Tip: we liked being open to the courtyard with fountains and flowers!

Our tour director hinted that this was a "special hotel" and yes, it was. It's like a castle and you can get yourself lost in there. My husband and I stayed there 2 nights from April 30 2013, and we had a hard time finding our way to the breakfast room on the first morning! The lower ground floor (or basement) is like a maze and the small and sparse signage make it worse. However, we love this hotel because of its uniqueness. We had a king size bed and comfortable mattress, so sleeping was not a problem. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath tub, but the WC is really small, a big person may find his knees knocking against the door. Our room was on the ground floor and our window opened out to a courtyard with beautiful flowering plants. The location is within distance to the Cathedral and there are many eateries , some shops selling shoes, bags etc and also a couple of grocery stores in the hotel vicinity. We did not eat in but breakfast was good with quite a variety. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends if they are in Seville.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the ground floor if you don't want the hassle of waiting for a lift.

This hotel was fairly expensive, but accommodations were average at best. The walkways and gardens were run down and in need of upgrade. Our room had an odd unlit step in the hallway near the bathroom that made navigating at night extremely unsafe. Wi-Fi, available only in the lounge was spotty at best. Location was good, staff assistance was so-so. There must be better hotels in the area for the price.

We stayed in this hotel, for a little longer than planned, due to the Air Traffic Control strike.
We found it excellent. The staff are helpful and efficient, the room was comfortable and clean, and the subterranean passages, hidden patios and rooftop pool all add to its charm and uniqueness.
Breakfast was plentiful and items were quickly replaced as necessary, which is not always the case in large hotels.
I agree with the reviewer who mentioned a problem with ants around the croissants. This really put me off and is the reason I didn't give an 'excellent' rating.
The Hotel found us a room at relatively short notice and couldn't have been more helpful. Their laundry service is fast and efficient- we got our things back the same evening. The location has to be one of the best in Seville!

Room Tip: . Longer trips,, the smaller rooms can be a little claustrophobic, so if you don't mind getting...

Each April I make a point of visiting Seville, the sights, sounds and smells of this beautiful and historic city bring back so many lovely memories. This year, as always, the first job was to book Las Casas, really the only place to stay if you want to experience luxury, history and genuine Andalusian culture. Beds are generously sized, crisp, clean and snuggly, rooms tastefully decorated yet maintaining antique charm, with polished wooden floors and chairs worth flopping in to! The air con works better here than in any hotel I have stayed in after more than 30 years of regular leisure and business travelling. Staff are helpful and courteous, without being overly familiar or pushy, facilities (including a superb spa and sunny roof top pool and numerous little terraces) are beautifully maintained. Breakfasts are simply wonderful, and the whole bustling, coffee obsessed, orange fragranced, food heaven of the city only a few footsteps from the most imposing front door in Santa Crux. I want to be back at Las Casas now, right now, with my own half orange and a good bottle of Rioja, relaxing in the sumptuous lounge or sunbathing in my own private piazza. Don't miss the Casas experience, soak it up and carry it with you to your next hotel which will pale in comparison.

The years have not been kind to the hotel and it's in need of major renovation. Too many years of painting over what needs fixing and replacing. It's a shame because you can see it was once a gorgeous and unique property. The carpeting in the room was faded and worn. Even the couch and tapestry in reception were torn. At the roof-top pool, they apparently ripped off whatever once covered the ground and painted bright green over the adhesive.

Be sure to ask for a room close to reception otherwise you'll need GPS to find your way back. We were first assigned a room that required a long walk through tunnels, multiple flights of steps and elevators. It was too isolated and we asked to be moved. The next room was above a courtyard closer to reception.

WiFi is only available in the public courtyard.

The great thing about this hotel was its location. Just across the street... are the maze like passages of the old Jewish quarter and a lot of restaurants. It's a short walk to The Cathedral and the Alcazar. If you don't mind some neglect of your hotel, its prime location may likely make up for the faded, painted over and creaking that has become its current state.

We stayed in room 21 in early June. The room was a junior suite, and certainly delivered on character and space. The room had a separate private courtyard, which was a great addition. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful and valet parking was a breeze (once you find the hotel - use a GPS!). The only disappointment during our stay was the cleanliness of the hotel. The carpets (antique rugs) in our room had not been properly cleaned in some time. After sitting on the carpet I was covered in fibers and small bits. And the shower had dark mold above the tiles all the way to the ceiling. Lastly, there were ants covering several tables at breakfast and crawling near the croissants. Cleanliness aside, we liked the hotel, but would probably choose somewhere else for the money.

Room Tip: Choose a junior suite if you can.
