Our son is studying in Seville for the semester and we recently visited him and stayed at The Alfonso XIII in Seville. The hotel was wonderfully situated and provided excellent service and delicious food. We had upgraded to a suite and our son stayed on a roll away in the living room area at no extra charge. The hotel has classic Moorish architecture and an historic feel but rooms were very comfortable and bathroom was modern. A great value and terrific hotel.

This hotel is beautiful from intricate tile work through out spacious guest rooms. The hotel is well located close tothe cathedral, castle and their Central Park. Rooms are spacious and well maintained, the hotel has a nice relaxing pool area. It also boasts a nice bar with a large selection of gin and othe spirits and friendly bartenders who know their stuff.

We just spent 6 nights in one of the most beautiful hotel of Seville. Unfortunately, this is also the most famous hotel of Seville and maybe even of spain. And very expensive. From that point of view, it is unacceptable (at least for me) that you have to pay for Wi-Fi and for the car and for the breakfast. I just expect "an other level" from a Hotel like this that put itself under the category of the "Luxury Hotels of the world". It is for sure a "must see" but from my point of view not a "must stay".

Once you drop off in front of the main entrance you know you're in for a treat. This is a beautiful, historic property in the dead centre of the old town and across the palace.

The hotel has wonderfully renovated rooms and a lovely patio. Oh, and a beautiful, serene outdoor pool.

I was however disappointed with the service at this property. The patio bar service was slow. The breakfast was hit and miss servicewise.

Would I recommend this property? Absolutely, for the hardware itself. It is without doubt the most beautiful hotel in Seville.

Outstanding service from the hotel desk and all of the staff. I was a little disappointed that, given the cost of the room, I had to pay for wi-fi in the room. That aside, it is truly a luxurious hotel that is relatively close to all that you may want to see in Seville. Guests are treated well. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety to choose from but as someone has previously posted: the coffee is terrible; I recommend that you stick to the hot chocolate. Be careful when driving to the hotel as gps may send you to a street that was recently converted to a pedestrian walkway.

Staying at the Alfonso XIII Hotel is like staying in a museum. From the lobby, to the restaurant to the rooms, it is one of the most elaborate hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff couldn't do more for you and the location in Seville is in walking distance for most places you need to go. My only problem is that for all this luxury there is a price. We stayed at 5 hotels in Spain and this is by far the most expensive but the only one that charged for in room wiFi (over $20 per day). Food at the restaurant was also very expensive (nice breakfast buffet for over $20 per person) and don't go there needing laundry service ($6 for a pair of socks or $6 for each piece of underwear). My feeling is that paying such a high price for an elaborate hotel should rate some break somewhere else in the hotel. No luck. There are lots of other hotels in Seville that are in an ever better location at half the price and give free wiFi. Granted you won't have a room with 4" thick marble dresser tops or a crystal chandelier, but is this really necessary if you are a tourist there to see the sights Seville has to offer?

This hotel is without question the best hotel in all of Spain and is likely one of the top in the world. The hotel combines old world charm but is completely updated and current to accommodate the most discerning travelers needs. The room we stayed is was very large, well appointed, had a large bed that was very comfortable and was fitted with quality linens. Checking in was a breeze and the bellman had out bags to the room right away. The hotel sent a bottle of cava and a cake to honor a celebration we were having during our stay.

We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The dinner was excellent and highly recommend dining. The only slight negative is one of our appetizers came out warm instead of hot. Minor issue and it did not take away from the experience or the flavor. The service at dinner was spot on with the server quick to accommodate each request. The breakfast is a buffet. I'm not a fan of buffets (no self control). The food is good quality and we enjoyed dining each morning, there was a large selection to meet a variety of tastes and preferences.

I will tell you the only issue, and I mean singularly only issue is that the WiFi is at a charge to your room. There is free WiFi in the lobby but not in the rooms. Given the cost per night and the level that this hotel operates I found it beneath the hotel to. Charge for WiFi in the room. I suspect that Starwood will wake up to this realization and make the adjustment. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay in one of e most beautiful cities in Spain .

One last comment, the location was perfect. We walked everywhere and found that all worth seeing was close by to the hotel.

Go ahead and book the hotel. You'll thank me later.
