Owner description: The Barrio Santa Cruz used to be the Jewish quarter. The streets are narrow and form a labyrinth. It’s easy to get lost among the jasmine-scented streets… only to discover a convent or a palace or a hotel. Many of the palaces have wrought iron gates suitable for peeping into their beautiful patios. There are many small stores and some artisan shops, as well as good art galleries.

This is the most charming part of Seville. When you are booking hotels...this is what you want to try an be near. The rest of the city is just a modern scummy Spanish city.

Get lost in the small streets and alleys and enjoy a drink outside a bar and watch the world go by. Who would think you were in the middle of a large city?

This area has so much charm--you have to visit it. There are great little shops and outdoor cafes. The roads are extremely narrow--not really suited for cars but great area to wander around and soak in the atmosphere. If you are there around dinner time--Try San Marco's--the food is really good.

Walking through this old part of town you will be thinking arrh this is what Seville is all about. Great small shops, narrow streets with cafe's and lots of gift shops.in a few minutes you will be at the cathedral. What more can you want.you really should not miss this area.A must to see

When in Sevile just take time to wander through this old part of the city.
There are many quaint shops and cafe's as well as souvenir
Shops.
It used to contain the former Jewish area but there is nothing left of historical importance
