The cathedral is a must see in Seville. It was originally a mosque that was converted to a cathedral in the late 1400's. it is very beautiful outside and inside. Christopher Columbus' tomb is there. Be sure to climb the tower for fantastic views of the city.

Apparently the largest cathedral in terms of area as the late Norris McWhirter testified ! A stunning building, especially with the history attached. Plenty to wonder at in terms of Spanish riches and stories. The Giralda gave a great view and such a great building to huff and puff your way up instead of stairs .

Huge cathedral which is worth the wait in the hot sun. The audio guide is interesting. Do not miss climbing the bell tower.

Visited Seville Cathedral in the afternoon and was amazed by size and complexity of the building. Architects and engineers of these constructions have to be seriously applauded for the outcome of their work in centuries past.
When in Europe you see many of these structures but for us they continue to impress in so many cases. Well worth the €8.50 entry and do walk up the bell tower .... no stairs just 35 long tiered paved ramps. Nice change from hundreds of steps.

The cathedral is impressive, the charge of around 9 euros isn't going to break the bank and it's the perfect place to get out the of heat in the day. The only thing that was a negative is that there was a lot of renovation work going on which meant some of the cathedral was off limits
