Owner description: This majestic Cathedral dates back to the 15th century and claims to be the third largest building of its kind in the world.

The cathedral is very large but not that complicated. We used the audio guide and I would NOT recommend this unless you are REALLY interested in the art works as it tells you very little about the background to the cathedral but goes into great deal about every picture in ALL the side altars. Obviously what everyone goes to see are the golden altarpiece, the tomb of Columbus (if you discount the one in the caribbean) and Giralda Tower. For these, it is worth the admission price.

This is a church to beat all churches. it is huge and well worth the entrance fee especially if you are old enough to get a concession. Take yopu passport for proof!!

Can't say that after a day of visiting of Seville there is anything that sticks to mind about this place. Other than the fact that is huge. The architectural embroideries are quite scarce, there are very few vitrailes, ( ( I don;t mention here other similar places in Europe that are rich in both or either one), I'd say if you haven;t seen Florence, Milan, Prague, Vienna those should come first on your list. And only if you have the money and the time and you've seen those before it's still worth thinking twice before planning a visit to Seville.

A must see, but no need to spend more than 2 hours there. Can be cold and windy at top of Giralda tower - be prepared.

The size and scope of this huge church is truly remarkable. The gold and silver altars are more than impressive. The rosemary-offering Roma outside its doors are to be avoided however. A "No, gracias" does the job.
