What a wonderful cathedral. The architecture and treasures are outstanding. Allow a good amount of time to fully appreciate the cathedral.

This truly is a beautiful Cathedral, which houses some amazing artifacts including Christopher Columbus's tomb. It is absolutely huge and incredibly well maintained. It was great to be able to climb the 32 levels of the tower to get a panoramic view of the whole of the city of Seville. The walk was quite strenuous (not for the unfit or infirm..!) but well worth the effort.

You definitely have to visit this marvellous place. First of all, it is the largest Gothic cathedral and the third-largest church in the world. Second, it was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the Alcazar Palace Complex and the General Archive of the Indies.
Inside the cathedral is a spectacular golden altarpiece and near the main entrance is the Tomb of Christopher Columbus.
The entrance fee of 8 euros allows entry both the Cathedral and the Giralda, children get free admission. There are line-ups, but they move pretty fast so your waiting time will be maximum 15-20 minutes, even in the peak season.
This site is absolutely worth visiting especially if combined with the panoramic views from Giralda.

This is a huge cathedral. . .and amazing work of art ...however the walk up the Giralda is definitely worth the price of admission as the views are breathtaking... if you are in a wheelchair or elderly with difficulties walking the climb may be too much as there are many people going up and they are hellbent to get up. . .so maybe going up would not be best idea!
Also close by are the wonderful gardens called Real Alcazar which no one should miss!
