“Loved the hotel, except for the noisy rooms”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Upon arrival, the hotel was everything I was expecting....beautifully designed and furnished, lovely spacious room & a great location. The service was fantastic, the breakfast good by Spanish standards, wonderful spa treatment (and at VERY reasonable prices). I loved everything about it....UNTIL I went to bed.

Unfortunately noise within the hotel is incredibly bad. Perhaps it was just our rooms location (room 211), however I could hear every footstep in the hallway, every room door opening and closing, every word spoken by people in the hallways...I really could not believe how bad the sound insulation was in the room. After my first night (which was almost entirely sleepless as guests were coming home up until about 5 am, and then others getting up and leaving from 7am) I had to get ear plugs for the rest of the trip.

The hotel really needs to look at their sound insulation issues in the room. At the very least install some doors in the corridors so that you only get disturbed by noise from small sections, rather than the entire corridor.

We were very impressed with the size of our room (#304) and the facilities of the hotel are excellent. A pool to cool you down after a long day of sight-seeing. Great rooftop view of the Giralda at sunset. Fantastic location. Helpful staff with guides, suggested entertainment, luggage, taxis.
We didn't eat in the hotel as we prefer to go out when so many nearby options are available to explore.
We had a great time and thank the hotel manager and staff for making Seville a great experience or us.
We didn't have a car issue as we used trains in Andalucia. With ancient cities, one should expect narrow lane ways - that's the attraction.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially as our Spanish is non existent. The location is perfect, just around the corner from the Cathedral, and two minutes walk through tiny cobbled streets to shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is modern inside, with a large atrium in the foyer area, a pool downstairs, and a lovely terraced bar on the rooftop with views of the Giralda, and over Seville. Our room was spacious with a huge modern bathroom, and the beds were comfy. We did have a problem with noise during the night - other guests were clearly heard partying until all hours despite the double glazed windows. We also heard other guests inside the hotel, coming and going, greeting each other loudly until around 3:30am. We know that people don't go out 'til late and stay out until the early hours in Spain, we just didn't expect this inside the hotel. The good vibe here outweighs this problem however, and we still loved our stay here.

i know it's rude but it is my honest opinion. the hotel is just a big big fake. and a loud one. starting with the positive things: location, location, location. that's it. on the first sight the interieur is "wow" but on the second sight you see that most ofi it jis ust cheap wannabe stuff. worst thing about the hotel (beside the lousy breakfast without any service and long black hairs on the table cloths) is that it is really loud and noisy. the walls of my tiny little room were so paper thin that you can hear every door rattle. and it rattles aaaall night long! from the unspectecular roof top with a b-view to the cathedral your hear cheap elevator lounge music for wannbe cool people until the early morning. even with closed windows. and i did ask for a quite room! the little yard in front of my french window was dirty because the drunken guests threw down tissues, straws and cigarettes from the roof top. this is all so primitive and just a cheap but expensive rip off!,,.! sevilla YES but not this poor place again!

Room Tip: book another hotel!

A great hotel in the heart of the city. Close to all restaurants and sightseeings. The hotel has it all, pool, rooftop bar, nice staff, good rooms and excellent location. We will be back. If you want to visit Sevilla we recommend not to visit in August. As it is very hot and for those who like shopping lots of shops are closed in August.

Very close to the cathedral and Alcazar, the hotel is a modern redevelopment of an old building. Built round a central courtyard, it is in shades of grey and purple and extremely stylish. There is a very good swimming pool in another courtyard and a rooftop bar with great views of the Giralda belltower.
Access by car is extremely difficult and I strongly suggest parking at on of the nearby carparks (ask the hotel to send you directions) - though at $25 a day pretty expensive. Then walk or get a taxi to the door.
We were upgraded to a superior room which was extremely large with a great dressing area and washbasins outside the shower/toilet which is quite convenient. Beds and pillows were great but sleep was disturbed by trash collection in the early hours not excluded despite double glazed windows.
The bathroom is spoiled only by water barely hot enough for a decent shower - even after waiting some time.
Internet is good but I become increasingly by key-activated room power with no one power point always on for recharging equipment while out of the room (and without the ability to 'fool' the system with a non-room card).
Breakfast at $20 seems overpriced considering you can get more for less than half the price nearby.

This hotel has the best location, it's a 3 minute walk from the Cathedral. As with most boutique hotels the decor is stylish and sleek and the ambiance created in the lobby area is very peaceful. The beds are queens and extremely comfortable and the rooms are well sound proofed. The breakfast is yummy with lots of fresh fruit, pastries and Parma ham they even have eggs and bacon. My only criticism falls on the staff who are friendly but often manic (rushing around like headless chickens) this kills the tranquility the hotels decor is trying so hard to achieve. I'd also stay clear of the terrace restaurant which is over priced for what they serve (a variety of meat you cook yourself on a hot stone) and instead just enjoy a glass of wine when enjoying the views from the terrace.
