“Stylish hotel with amazing location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

This hotel has the best location, it's a 3 minute walk from the Cathedral. As with most boutique hotels the decor is stylish and sleek and the ambiance created in the lobby area is very peaceful. The beds are queens and extremely comfortable and the rooms are well sound proofed. The breakfast is yummy with lots of fresh fruit, pastries and Parma ham they even have eggs and bacon. My only criticism falls on the staff who are friendly but often manic (rushing around like headless chickens) this kills the tranquility the hotels decor is trying so hard to achieve. I'd also stay clear of the terrace restaurant which is over priced for what they serve (a variety of meat you cook yourself on a hot stone) and instead just enjoy a glass of wine when enjoying the views from the terrace.

This is a lovely boutique-style hotel in the heart of Seville. It is located in the heart of the old town (a very big plus) on a charming very narrow street! If you are driving though, it might be a problem as it is hard to navigate the car in the narrow streets. There is also a lack of parking space, but who needs a car in Seville anyways! The exterior of the hotel is very traditional yet the minute you step inside you will be pleasantly surprised by the modern interior. It looks way smaller from the outside but the lobby and the rooms are unexpectedly spacious. I loved it!

This hotel met all of our expectations. The location couldn't be better. It's steps away from the Cathedral and Alcazar, and just a 5-10 minute walk to Santa Cruz and the Plaza de Toros. The rooms were nice, bathroom a good size, large windows that opened to the street below. We had just two small complaints. We stayed there for 4 days, and the first two nights were totally fine. But the second two days, around 7pm, there was a strong, distinct sewer odor that took over the room. By then time we returned both nights it was gone, but it made for a very unpleasant siesta. Also, we were very disappointed that on Saturday night the rooftop bar (which was a selling point for us when choosing a hotel) was rented out to two private parties. We were allowed up on the roof, but were not allowed to sit in chairs (not because they weren't available either...there were PLENTY of empty seats). Being from NYC, it seems strange that hotel guests are not welcome at hotel bars, regardless of private parties. Other than that, it was a nice hotel in a great area.

I stayed at the hotel Fontecruz in Seville in May 2013. This hotel is very well maintained everything in very good or new looking condition and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is boutique style with photographs of old film stars, furniture very modern. It has a lot of tiled floors and metallic doors which did give it an echoy feel to it and amplified any noise, I could hear people in their rooms around mine! Not good if you are a light sleeper. Our room did not have any views of Seville despite the excellent position of the hotel. It has a lovely roof terrace with a bar and an outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast did the usual cereal, bread rolls, fruit, cheese, cold meats, pastries, fruit juices and scrambled egg and bacon.
The staff were very good, on reception desk Antonio was fantastic!! he advised us on best things to do and see helping by booking things for us and had a lot of patience as we did not speak Spanish but he spoke very good English. Thank you!!
The hotel had no tea and coffee making facilities which we would have liked. We were only there a couple of days I would have stayed longer due to great location.

Room Tip: Tricky as I don't think any rooms have views

An average hotel, overpriced, and in a ridiculous location if you have a car. Your gps in trying to locate this hotel will probably take you down streets ( read alleys) that you car may not fit down, will most likely misguide you and frustrate the hell out of you. By the time you eventually find the place you car may be illegally parked 100's meters away and by the time you haul your luggage up cobblestone alleys and by the time you find a parking garage at Eu16 a night it will take you 3 to 4 hours to check in.
The staff are pretty much useless in trying to help you navigate through this nightmare. In 7 weeks of travelling through Europe, booking this hotel was our worst decision.

About 20 minutes taxi drive from the airport which should cost approximately 35-40 euro’s. Most taxi’s will not drop you at the front of the hotel as the street is very narrow, so you’ll have a short 2 minute walk to reception. The reception was very efficient and friendly, as were all the staff I dealt with.
The pool is fairly small and the sun is lost (June) apart from a small section on the poolside is lost around 3:30pm. However, the roof top terrace has sun all day long.
The rooms (spoke to colleagues) were all very clean, some with double beds, some with 2 single beds. The food during breakout sessions (nibbles) were all very nice with quite a variety, however these were the same each day (more of a business thing). I didn’t eat in the hotel during the evening so cannot comment. Breakfast is well set out with a good variety of food: hot, cold, cereal and pastries.
The views from the terrace bar are very nice in the evening with the cathedral in full glow, during the day you have the normal roof top view looking down onto other buildings a floor or 2 below.
The location is fantastic, you are right in the heart of the city and everything is in easy walk.
I would recommend this hotel for both business users (meetings of up to 40-50 people) and for couples.

Stayed here for a business trip and was very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean with attractive decor and comfortable beds. The hotel is nicely presented and the staff were helpful and friendly. There is a lovely roof terrace with a bar, which had a very relaxing atmosphere and has a nice view of the cathedral. The hotel is located in a historic area and is in close walking distance of the cathedral. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
