“Great value for money”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

A very simple, clean hotel in the centre of the old town. Basic but surprisingly spacious room with bed, television and bathroom. Good wifi. No other facilities in the hotel but it does have a very pleasant central courtyard for sitting in.The hotel is difficult to find but worth the effort. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby, but for less touristy affairs it's not far to Triana and Centro. Only one power point in the room. The staff are very friendly and helpful but speak no English. Smiling helps! Only negative side is the noise in the small hours when the street cleaners do their best to wake everyone up.

Although I booked in June for a trip at the end of September, there was no record of our booking at the hotel. After much intake of breath we were shown to room 4. This is on the ground floor, has one small window that looks straight onto the inner courtyard, and is therefore curtained off, so there is no natural light at all. It reminded me of an inside cabin on a cross channel ferry, except that they are usually bigger! The room was clean, but the shower screen was broken and no plug for the wash basin. We were only there for one night, otherwise I would have been quite unhappy. The hotel has a terrace on the second floor, which was a pleasant place to have a drink after sightseeing, and the rooms on the first and second floors looked really nice, if small, which is what I had expected in a very old building of this type in Seville.
The Cathedral, other sights and many tapas bars are a few minutes away, as is an underground car park if you are coming by car. Down a passageway at the otherside of the small square there is a cafe that does a very good breakfast, that is recommended!
Seville is lovely and deserves more time than we gave it, so we will return to see more. I would happily stay at this hotel, but only if I could be sure of having a room that was not on the ground floor. However, at the end of the day, 56 euros for a hotel in this area is good value!

Room Tip: As above avoid rooms on the ground floor!

The hotel was perfectly located in the middle of Seville labyrinth of narrow and charming streets, close to eveyrthing you might want to enjoy in this dreamy city. The place was beautifully decorated, havin two interior Patios. We believe the property is of high quality, but we ended up in room less comfortable, due to the lack of natural light. The room was located at the ground floor, and the small window of the room looked exactly onto the interior Patio, letting veru little light inside. Secondly, the bathroom window also looked onto another interior patio. Not only you could here if anyone passed through the patio or sat down chatting on the couches in the patio, but you would also feel quite unsafe sleeping with the window open, even if the hotel was secure (there was always someone in the reception). We believe rooms situated at higher floors and looking over the Piaza Cruces are quite beautiful.
The hotel doesn't offer any breakfast.
The hosts will offer you quality advice for visiting Seville but there is not a memorable service. The hotel provides quite a good value for money.

Room Tip: Do ask for a room facing the Piaza Cruces, on an upper floor, if don't want to end up with a roo...

The hotel itself was average. It has a very authentic Spanish feel with the decor, but the rooms are very small and simple. The staff was accommodating but was not overly helpful. The best part is the location. It is on a beautiful little square with winding cobblestone alleys. It is walking distance to all of the attractions and is in my favorite part of the city - perfect for getting lost in. Overall it's a great value for the location.

My friend and I stayed here for a week and loved it! It's located minutes from the cathedral and there are many restaurants nearby. The staff was all vey friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and good size. The hotel is very charming and the roof top terrace was a nice escape. This is just a wonderful hotel in a great city! I would definitely stay here again!

I really liked that place. The hotel is charming, superbly located (just a couple of minutes walk from the castle and the cathedral) and inexpensive. There are lots of tapas bars and restaurants around and also at least a couple of places with flamenco shows.

During our stay it wasn't noisy at night at all. I had problems with sleeping but probably because it was so hot. I don't think my sleeping issues have anything to do with the hotel.

The hotel has a lift which is very helpful if you have heavy baggages.

We arrived at 10pm, got dropped off by the taxi driver on the main road and walked up through to the hotel (no problem finding it from the map we had). We were greeted pleasantly, the room allocated to us was 21 on the 1st floor, so we used the lift as we had a suitcase. Our room was basic but in rustic way, small, twin bedded (we pushed them together, they were hard), clean (cleaned every day with regular towel/sheet changes) with air con (was so very much needed with 40 degree heat), we were happy!

The hotel is centrally located in the Santa Cruz area and is perfect for seeing everything Sevilla has to offer which is a lot - we spent a week here but you could do it over a long weekend. The noise does travel within the patio style set up but most guests are considerate to others. This place is described as a B&B on some sites but I would say a small, family run, friendly, well placed, clean hotel.

There are so many places to chose from to eat but we found breakfast for €6 (Churos con chocolat and fruit platter) and menu of the day at various restaurants for €15 (3 courses and a drink) - we paid €68 for a two course meal and it wasn't good!

The only thing missing was a pool - it was hot on the roof terrace!
