“Small but well situated”

Casa 1800 Seville is a small hotel located in the heart of old Seville. After a nail-biting taxi ride through streets with 3" clearance from walls to either side of the cab, we were dropped off in a little square where the hotel is. Nice staff. The room (102) was a bit disappointing as it was SO small. Interesting decor, with sort of rococo mirror and bed headboard and wooden beams across the high ceiling. I had asked for a double bed but got twins instead, and also requested a high floor, which I did not get either. But the location made up for it, with the Cathedral and Alcazar both two blocks away. Lots of places for little walks down side streets with cafes, shops, local folks doing their usual thing. Recommended unless you have claustrophobia.

Room Tip: Room 102 is very small but is in the back of the hotel and does not get the substantial evening stre...

My husband and I just stayed at Casa 1800 for 3 nights and we could not have been more pleased. This hotel is gorgeous, and the staff is fantastic. Alegria (who checked us in), and the hotel manager are great - very friendly and warm.
We had room number 2 on the main floor, which was great - there was even a little private outdoor space. Right outside of our room was the sitting area - perfect for down time when you don't necessarily want to be in your room. The complimentary tea time was also great. My husband insists that the donuts are the best he's ever had! :)
The location was incredible - literally around the corner from the Cathedral and the Alcazar, and surrounded by tons of great places to eat.
Thank you Casa 1800 and keep up the fabulous work! We will be back for sure.

Casa 1800 Seville is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in! The location could not be better. Steps away from the Cathedral and Alcazar, and around the corner from the barrio. The rooms are beautiful, extremely clean and a good mix of old architecture with new amenities. The bathrooms were spotless, beds comfortable, and the rooms were a good size. The staff was very helpful. Very wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Room 3 was perfect . Has a private patio! You would think it might be loud since it's off the lo...

I echo all other comments as below, a high class hotel in the heart of Seville round the corner from the cathedral. They offered a good afternoon tea, though I would have preferred if breakfast was included instead. The whole hotel, staff and service were of a top class standard, and the roof top terrace with amazing views was a bonus. We arrived at the bus station and wondered through gardens to Casa 1800 in about 20 minutes. We departed with a taxi to S. Justa station to Cordoba. A car is a waste of time. There is no restaurant and any food is taken in the lobby area. They fully deserve their top rating and are certainly trying hard.

My wife and I stayed here for a night on our honeymoon and were completely impressed. The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. The central atrium space is beautifully preserved and maintained and makes a great place for breakfast or afternoon tea. The rooms are impeccable and ours even came with a rooftop jacuzzi with a view of the Seville Cathedral. The place was not overly expensive either, especially considering its location and amenities. A must stay kind of place if you are traveling to Seville.

Reception staff was excellent. Rooms were not ready when we arrived at noon so we left our luggage with front desk staff and went sightseeing. When we returned, all of the luggage had been put in our rooms. We had superior rooms 201 and 204 which were big and quiet. Both had great showers with excellent water pressure. The beds were firm and very comfortable. The complimentary bottled water in the mini bar was very nice. The housekeeping staff is a little inconsistent with the number and type of towels provided each day. They do not always replace discarded towels with the same size towel. On the second day, we discovered that they did have washcloths when we saw them on a housekeeping cart, so we requested and got them. The rooms and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The furniture could be described as shabby chic. A very old world feel with a very modern bathroom and flat screen television. Breakfast and afternoon tea in the atrium were very pleasant. Sufficient selection of food and beverages. Pastries, fruit and sandwiches with afternoon tea were particularly nice since dinner is so late. The location is fantastic. Excellent ice cream shop only steps away. Many shops, restaurants and bars were very close by. There is space in front of the hotel for a taxi to stop to unload. The hotel is on a very tiny street and the taxi driver had trouble finding it because the streets in the historic district are jumbled together. The hotel website has helpful directions.

Room Tip: We had rooms 201 and 204. 204 was not as big but very bright and cheery. 201 overlooked interior...

Arrived at Santa Justa train station from Madrid - cost to Casa 1800 about 10 euros. Chose Casa 1800 because of tripadvisor reviews and wanted a cental "boutique" hotel. This certainly fitted the bill. Irene at the desk noticed my birthplace on my passport and co-incidently she studied there and we had a pleasant conversation about that. My room 105 on the first floor seemed a bit dark but they use enery saving light bulbs so they take a while to warm up!! Room was standard so small but OK. No view with my room which looked out onto the enclosed courtyard - good job the air conditioning was so efficient as even in late October, Seville was still very hot. Bathroom very modern and efficient, powerful shower very welcome after a long day sightseeing-lovely towels and a bathrobe. Efficient proper hair dryer aswell. Television looked out of place in such a "baroque" styled room - but did its job. Didn't eat breakfast - so many other places to take breakfast but did partake of afternoon tea - impressed with the "nespresso" machine - but as others have said a nice cool drink and a bit to eat before eating late most welcome. Complimentary water a welcome change for such an expensive hotel. Very central in the "old town" and you can get lost very easily - but that's what a holiday is for. Close to the Alcazar and Cathedral whose tower is a "location" point if you do get lost. Most attractions withing walking distance. Loads of eating places again within walking distance and very reasonable too. I am a solo traveller and felt very safe and comfortable in this area.

Room Tip: Mine was a standard room with no view so I would upgrade if you can
