Really nice new, designer hotel. Hotel staff is very courteous, friendly and pro. The only thing missing was a small pool for the super hot summer days...but I guess that's not really needed any time the rest of the year...Highly Recommended.

If I could afford to own a house like this, that is exactly the way I would like it to be!
The Palacio de Villapanes is a wonderfully renovated palace from the 18th century offering anything you need for a relaxing stay in hot Seville in July (amongst others a well-working, almost noiseless A/C!).
Attention started even before arrival: Since we had booked our room already a couple of months ago, the concierge called us two days before, reconfirmed our booking and wished us a pleasant trip.
We stayed for 3 nights and loved every little detail - the spacious room in dark colours (dark brown and purple, which is very calming after the bright sunlight and heat outside), the exceptional bathroom with huge shower and Bulgari products, the complimentary minibar and the homemade bedtime truffles.
Breakfast deserves special mention: We have never had a better before. A broad selection of almost anything you can think of plus an additional menu for hot orders.
Though the breakfast room is located in the basement, you don't feel "locked" - it is very stylish as well (dominating white with black accents).
Thanks to everyone there - it is a pleasure to see how much you seem to enjoy your work and the contact with your guests!

When we first arrived, we were given a free upgrade on the terrace floor. However as we wanted a bathtub, the staff did not hesitate to change our room. Service was excellent throughout and we were very impressed considering that we had been in Spain for 2 weeks and stayed in 4 hotels. This hotel beats the ones we stayed in Barcelona hands down despite those being mega-hotel chains. Receptionists and hotel concierge were very helpful. Although the pool was under construction and there was substantial noise in the day arising from construction works, the excellent room and service more than made up for it. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Myself and my partner travelled around Andalucia travelling from Malaga to Granada to Cordoba before arriving in Seville.

We stayed here for two nights without breakfast in room 222. From the moment we drove to the hotel, all the staff did their best to ensure that our stay was perfect in every possible way. From offering us a chilled glass of water on arrival to delivering champagne to our room at 2am, the staff at Alma were exceptional.

The room we stayed in was beautiful with a massive bathroom and a shower that my partner would consider killing for. The minibar was complementary which was a refreshing change from other hotels I've stayed in. The location of the hotel wasn't bad either. It was about 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre and the hotel arranged us some bicycles to hire, which I thought was a much more convenient way to travel.

Without making this review anything short of a thesis, in summary I would fully recommend this hotel. The hotel itself was lovely but I think what makes this place this good are the staff, who are committed to ensuring your stay is as pleasurable as possible.

We visited Sevilla obviously in the wrong month. As everybody knows you should not othere is July or August as temperatures easily rise above 40C. So how nice to stay in a hotel with a good (and quiet!!!) airco system. The hotel only opened its doors in December 2009, which means that all is new and there are still some things to improve. Small problems were solved in a friendly way. The use of the minibar - with soft drinks only - is free, gives a sympathetic feeling. The cuisine is good and the overall atmosphere, modern rooms in an old building, worked very well on us. The lovely city center is 10-15 minutes walking distances so you don't need your car. To improve?? well we found the place hard to find as no road sign point to this hotel (hunderds of others yes...) and a pool in a hot place is almost a must.

We loved our stay here. The hotel was stunning, an 18th century palace on the outside with cool/modern boutique hotel rooms. The staff were absolutely wonderful. They helped us with Flamenco show reservations and guided us to some wonderful restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying there and if our travels take us back to Sevilla, we would stay there again.

Stayed at Hotel Palacio de Villapanes last week and had a fantastic time. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful, but it is the extremely friendly and helpful staff that made our stay enjoyable.

They couldn't do more to help and advise on the best places to visit and the best local restaurants.
