“Palatial Hotel with Brilliant Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

An absolute joy. More a palace than a hotel. Beautiful hotel, luxurious rooms, exceptional friendly service. Loved everything about it - the luxury feel, gin and tonics in the terrace, the palatial bathroom! Would stay here every time. Only minor improvements to the room would be better pillows and I found the latex mattress hot. Breakfast room not good, they should use the wonderful terrace or restaurant instead.

Room Tip: There are lots of room types as it is a refurbished palazzo. Rooms look onto either the street or at...

Property was fabulous converted palace in a quiet area. Staff very helpful. Did make unexpected visits to your room to check all ok! So use the do not disturb! No access to the terrace which was a shame. Complimentary mini bar with beer! Shower superb. Some problem with multiple light switches main I complicated to control lighting.

Room Tip: Air con sounds like a storm is raging if you are on the top floor. No window either on top floor in...

The decor of the rooms at this hotel are beautiful, which is why we chose it. A big part of the effect is the lighting in each room, which is great for the luxurious atmosphere, but it strangely can't easily be raised beyond the dim level to which it was set. This becomes impractical when trying to locate specific articles of clothing in a suitcase, for example. I loved the deep bathtub and the toiletries. Service was excellent; employees were always available and eager to assist.

Room Tip: It seems street noise is inevitable in most European hotels. The central open courtyard at this hote...

We absolutely loved this hotel and loved the service at the hotel. It is a few blocks outside of the central touristic Catedral area but we thought that was a good thing. Walking through the quiet streets to and from the hotel gives a better sense of the city and since we had a car during our stay it made maneuvering in and around Sevilla easier. The hotel was quick to park and retrieve the car which doesn't always happen in crowded cities. We play Tennis and the hotel happily helped us find courts close to the hotel.

The terrace is pleasant and our room was quiet and very well planned with a great shower and bed.

Room Tip: We stayed in the rear building on the 5th floor in a delux jr suite with a private terrace.

We arrive at the Palacio de Villapanes in Sevilla very tired and hot. The place is beautifully done - an old palace with very modern rooms. Bathrooms are great, and everything works fine. The roof deck has nice views over the city and a very small pool, more like a hot tub without the heat, but essentially desserted when we were there (mid-September). The neighborhood is easily walkable from the center but not touristy at all. Lots of small bars and restaurants, galleries etc. The staff all very friendly, helpful -- gave us good restaurant recommendations and made everything easy. Really a great place to stay.

We stayed in Sevilla for only four days, but it was a great experience, partly thanks to this hotel. One of its most interesting features is that it is really quiet, despite the fact that the historical center is no more than 10 minutes walk away. Other than that, it is a real five star hotel: beautiful architecture, very resting ambiance, nice rooms, a small pool on the roof, a very good spa, excellent breakfasts, free mini-bar beverages (appreciated when it is so hot out there), and a very helpful personnel with that.

Recently stayed for a few nights. Although not quite in the center of Seville's sights it is still in a beautiful and quiet old neighbourhood and is a very short walk to the Cathedral. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved it!
