For a small hotel, Palacio de Villapanes deserves all the accolades it receives. The conversion from a private home to a luxurious travellers retreat retains the essence of its aristocratic past, whilst providing a an oasis of and calm and contemporary living in the city centre. Bedroooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed and breakfast, though quite expensive is well worth it. Finally, the 6th star should go to the hotel staff who looked after us so well and went to great lengths to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: The superior rooms are worth the extra cost, if you are staying longer than one night.

An excellent choice! A beautiful hotel, very well located within a walking distance from all the main attractions. The Rooms are spacious and luxurious and the bed is incredible. The breakfast which is included was quite a treat, excellent food and very generous. The whole staff is professional and friendly, always ready to help you chose a restaurant or help to book an activity. We are already planning to go back.

Charming, very attractive hotel which was a former palace. The lobby which is the interior courtyard was gorgeous. We booked a superior room which was quite large with a sitting area. Modern furnishings, quite comfortable. The bathroom was amazing; also modern and luxurious with lots of high end amenities. The access to our room was through an outside courtyard that was also charming. We loved the outside courtyard and enjoyed drinks and tapas on comfortable seating right outside our room. Wireless is complimentary in the room (as is the mini-bar) and throughout the hotel, and works well. We found the staff helpful and warm. We found the location to be central and were able to walk most places. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

This hotel is fantastic. The building is very beautiful and it is in a quite area of the city centre, 10 minutes away from the cathedral. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. I had the best sleep in ages.

Staff are very polite and helpful, they really know one thing or two about hospitality. They asked whether we wanted to get our room serviced or needed extra towels every afternoon (and they did the rooms every morning!). They also had very nice small touches that made us feel very welcome and pampered. One thing that we really liked was the possibility of having breakfast, a snack or a drink anywhere in the hotel. We just had to let them know where we were sitting.

Although it is not very clear from their website, apart from the spa, this hotel has also a small fitness room, with bike, elliptical machine, treadmill, a bench and a fitness station. All to a very high standard.

We - two adults and one child (11 years old) stayed at AlmaSevilla for 4 days this summer.
We truly enjoyed staying here.
The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful. Peaceful, quiet, in a great location (we walked everywhere!).
Our room was very dark, but very nice as well. It was wrapped around a small air vent, which meant that it felt large, like a small flat. We had a living room, a bedroom, a huge bathroom and hallway with small windows to the street in livingroom and bedroom and windows to the air vent from bathroom and hall. The room was on 1st floor. Not much of a view, but a great place to relax after walking the streets of Seville! the room came with an Imac, flat screen tvs and nice bath products. And a complimentary minibar, which was a nice touch!
The breakfast was delicious - admittedly pricey, but we liked it a lot!
The restaurant, bar and garden were all looking great, but we preferred spending our days and evenings out in the town. We did use the roof terrace and the small pool - the temperatures were nearly unbearable during our stay!
We did have som small issues during our stay, but the staff members were all so helpful and friendly and took every little problem very seriously - we really felt that they did their very best to assure that our stay was nothing but wonderful. And it was. We are looking forward to coming back!

This converted palace in Seville is very comfortable, but quite a walk to get to the sights each day.
The best thing is to hire bicycles otherwise there is too much walking.
Our bedroom was SO comfortable, and the staff incredibly helpful. Breakfast was way too expensive though.

After so many rave reviews I had high expectations....oh well. Sorry, but this is not a 5 star hotel. The room was very small and dark. There wasn't even a table to put our computer on. No bathtub (only a shower). We asked for a quiet room, but it was not. No view. The blankets and pillows were all fluff - no substance to them at all. They didn't change the sheets everyday, and sometimes they forgot to restock the water. There was not enough staff - so service was not that good. We couldn't check in earlier than 2pm, and when we did, it took 30 minutes for them to get us into our room. We had to wait to check-out too. There was No one in the courtyard - even if you wanted to have a drink there no one was around to order it from. It is also FAR away from all the main sights - a good 15-20 minute walk. 20 euro for breakfast. If this is your first time in Sevilla, do yourself a favor and don't stay here. On the positive side, It is a really pretty building (on the inside) with a lovely entrance and courtyard and there is a free minibar and free wifi. The very young inexperienced staff tries hard, they just can't keep up. Overall, I would not return here nor would I recommend it.
