Spain has many excellent and unique food ingredients not available elsewhere. They are best simply cooked to preserve their original flavors. Therefore it is best to come to a local seafood resraurant like this one. They are not Michelin Star type of places and do not charge that kind prices. We had deep fried sea anemone (slimy), grilled local sole (slightly larger than palm size), clams in tomato garlic sauce (great), potato croquet with spinach chickpea stuffing (uninspiring), grilled prawns with salt (very flavorful), and deep fried whitebaits (tasteless). They are half portion size dishes, not tapas. That and white wine and mineral water for 2 persons, absolutely stuffed, came to 46 euros, all inclusice. In a top modern restaurant in Milan (e.g. Trussadi at la Scala) or in Paris this price will buy you one appetizer. However, on tourist hotspot Carre Jeronimo in Madrid a breakfast of a croissant with ham and a cup of coffee is one euro. So I shall let you decide if this place is a bargain or a rip off.
