“Interesting but a little disappointing.”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

This wooden structure was interesting, but is in what seemed to be a down-at -heel neighborhood. We didn't walk on the top as we were not aware that this was an option, sadly. Many of the shops in the mall beneath the structure were either closed or empty. I should maybe re-visit as it seems I missed things due to the lack of information!

Absolutely fantastic. Wandering round the narrow City streets you suddenly come across this massive modern 'Day of the Triffids ' building which dives and swoops over and above the whole square. Its like a deformed mushroom billowing outwards and upwards writhing its shape into something quite beautiful. This could be one of the best buildings in the world. It costs a few Pounds to go up by lift , and then you can walk round its sweeping walkways and have coffee and tapas with a stunning view of the city. Its not much publicised as the locals objected to its sit over some old ruins.

“Unique and good value”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

I wasn't sure what to except here as I hadn't heard much about this attraction and the walk to it gives nothing away. Even when you arrive and stand underneath it would be easy to think this structure could be part of any shopping centre anywhere in the world. However it's only when take the lift to the top you understand what it's all about. It feels like you're walking on the tracks of a roller coaster. It's a large curved walkway high above the city and the views are fantastic you get a real sense of the city and beyond, you can't get these views anywhere else. The cost was 1 euro, 35c, which was great value. Something quite different and a nice surprise.

“Although nice and special, still a waist of money”

The parasol, built on a huge square in the center of Sevilla, gave us very mixed feelings. Perhaps the total emptiness had to do with the cold and rainy whether, but also many places for shops and bars were for sale or rent and empty. The walk up the parasol was definitely nice because of the splendid views but for 150 million !!! Euro Sevilla could have done better things. Planting big trees should have been better to give shade and i guess the people living there will agree. When in Sevilla you must go there but be prepared for mixed feelings.

“Odd placement”
Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

Decided to go just before sunset as wanted to see the city in a different light. Can understand why locals are not happy, seems out of place in a city of beautiful buildings. Price is cheap and structure a bit bizarre. Kids would love it. Getting in lift felt like you were entering into tardis. Entrance in down some stairs off main square.
