“Do not eat here”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

After going to the Plaza de Espana, we decided to eat here. It is a nice location with outdoor seating and misters under a beautiful tree. However, the service is poor. If you need help, you have to actively seek out the attention of the waitstaff. We ordered one thing and were given a different dish. It was some sort of chicken and it looked good so we decided to eat it anyway. After taking a bite, we realized that the chicken was undercooked. We asked for a new dish and it was just mediocre. Our salad was also just fine. They then tried to charge us for the undercooked meal instead of our replacement dish which was cheaper. I don't care how hot and hungry you are after visiting the Plaza de Espana, keep walking. Worst meal of my 2 week vacation.

“Had a great Paella here with amazing service.”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

I had an amazing Paella here in a lovely setting near the Plaza de Espana under a large fig tree. The service was exceptional (although it was a quiet night). It's a little pricey but good value considering the food and service.

“Nice spot, OK food!”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

After a long walk from Bario Santa Cruz to Plaza de Espana, we decided to take a rest and have a bite to La Raza, which looked ideal. We did not try the restaurant, but the cafe, which is just next to it, and looked ideal.

I have to admit that the service was not great, unfortunately there was only one waitress. While our drinks came fast enough, it took some time for our food to arrive, which is not a priori a bad thing--it may also mean that it's been freshly prepared. The food, however, was tasty. Of course one should not expect Michelin cuisine here! Just good prepared, tasty food, though the selection was very limited.

I would recommend this place for a coffee or drink. Really lovely spot.

“Could Not Have Been Worse -- Hopefully"”
Reviewed April 5, 2012

Bad service, Bad staff, Bad management --- just an awful experience. We went there because it looked like a great place to go (on the outside) after visiting Plaza de Espana. WHAT A MISTAKE!! I only hope this review will save someone the terrible experience. We didn't get all of the food we ordered and had to send the bill back three times to get it corrected. They tried to give us lamb burgers on sesame seed buns when they should have been on raisin / walnut buns. The waitress tried to tell us that they blended the raisins and walnuts so well that you could not physically see them....however the menu showed them clearly. How stupid do you think I am?! Please save yourself and go somewhere else.
