Description: The oldest Tavern in Spain gets its name from an old esparto grass weaver who delivered wine and hand crafted brooms that once hung from the ceiling. Nowadays, it is a restaurant and terrace next to the Cathedral, where you can savour exquisite tapas and traditional Andalusian dishes. We have breakfast from 09:00am to 12:00pm

We are normally wary of restaurants close to major tourist attractions but this was a very pleasant stop despite being around the corner from the Giraldo & Cathedral.
It's difficult to get pasta in Seville and my wife was craving it. They served an excellent Spaghetti Carbonara, chock full of bacon and with a thickly creamy sauce.
I had the Imperial Scrambled Eggs: bacon, croutons, green beans, mushr
ooms and king prawns. Absolutely delicious.
The restaurant has claims to be the oldest in Spain which you can make what you will of, but it certainly has a lovely art nouveau feel. Good service and reasonably priced.

Amazingly cheap tapas and the waiter is really friendly despite the translation confusion, the sangria was the nicest I’ve had the entire trip and was €12 for a litre. The croquettes were a personal favourite

Nice tapas card. We took paella, fried dogfish and bull tail, everything was tasty and fresh. The service is fast.

We happened upon this unassuming restaurant in between our scheduled times for the Alcazar and Cathedral, so timing was more of a factor for us than a more careful plan...but we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the efficiency of the service and the overall sense that we had found a neighborhood gem that we could savor, rather than just a refueling stop. We had a variety of tapas, and would likely have extended our stay for more had our schedule permitted. Great for people watching from our sidewalk perch as well.
