We stayed at Las Alemenas for 7 nights at the end of May and it was exceptional value for money. The rooms were scrupulously cleaned every day and were lovely and cool due to the marble flooring, and quiet considering the Acera del Darro is a very busy road. Opt for a room at side or back if you want to avoid traffic noise. The rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities but with cheap fantastic coffee all over Granada it wasn't really missed. If you are flying into Malaga and are getting a bus to Granada, the hotel is on the 33 bus route from the station and only costs 1.20 euros. The location of the hotel is perfect base for seeing all of Granada, there are bus tour stops on Acero del Darro, and it's in walking distance from the luxurious canvas covered shopping areas. The most beautiful areas of Granada are the Albayzín and Sacramonte, and of course the Alhambra, all are accessible via walking or public transport from Las Almenas. If you love seafood there is an excellent restaurant called El Marre a few doors down on the left of the hotel, fantastic free tapas with a drink from the bar. If you want to try some excellent sherry there is a great little bar further along called Casa Enrique with a fabulous owner, good fun. It's very Spanish, full of sherry barrels and hams with just a few bar stools, try some Manzanilla or Moscatel Palido.
