“Truly awful experience”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

We ordered the mixed grill fish platter and it was obvious that the restaurant had used "old" fish – the shrimp were chewy and flaky, and the fish tasted as if it had been frozen and rethawed once too often. Everything tasted as if it were well past the "sell by" date. The waiter took our order, delivered the food and disappeared until we asked for the bill. This was delivered rapidly – and with errors. There was a 19 euro charge for a small plate of fries. The charge was removed only after we complained. Cunini's was by far the worst restaurant experience we had in Southern Spain.

“Great tapas bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

Joined a very buzzy bar for early evening drinks, the tapas were delightful and staff great. Unlike the bar next door Oliver's which was very overpriced and tasteless.

“Overpriced...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

Just like everyone says it is very expensive for what you get. The location is terrific and their is a restaurant just next store with an almost identical menu for 50% less. I would definitely recommend you try the others.

Not impressed but went only due to the hotels recommendation.

“The worst in Spain”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

This is the first review in TA. On this trip, I visited Barcelona, Granada, Madrid and Lisbon and this restraurant is definetly the worst.
On the day I went to the restaurant, I didn't have lunch and I was hungry. But Foods still tasted bad and two waiters I talked with cannot understand English. The recommended dish was terrible.

I wasted money and time.

“Lovely terrace, good service, food not bad at all, bill good!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

We ate in the outside terrace - I say "in" not "on" the terrace as it was an unusually chilly, cloudy day in April, and they had the side walls out and a patio heater on to warm us up.

It was nonetheless a pleasant place to eat and you could people-watch as you waited for your food.

When it came it was good quality - sparkling fresh anchovies, crisply fried. The red mullet was grilled to perfection, the squid rings also crisp and fresh from the pan.

The wine was from a good selection, slightly more pricey than the food.

The main disadvantage of the food was the size of the portions. Next time we'll order only 3 dishes between 4 of us. Despite heroic attempts by the men, we couldn't finish everything.

The best bit may have been the bill which was less than we expected . . .
