“Overwhelming help!”
Reviewed September 3, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The apartment is in a wonderful location, imbued with the singular beauty of the Albaicin area. The immediate area is charming too next to a largely reconstructed old minaret (now bell tower)and a still functioning church (it was lovely but you need to see the times on the door in order to get in as times very limited) The apartment has a pleasant entrance area and there was easy access to the second floor because of the shallow steps. The apartment itself was very atmospheric and the terrace with views across to the Alhambra is enchanting. We did all our cooking so found the equipment/storage in the kitchen very minimal.
For those with mobility issues this area is challenging but it is well served by taxis that go right to the door. Also the owners carefully pointed this out beforehand. All the written information on the area received before arriving was extremely helpful.

For us the unique beauty of Granada will be for ever mingled with the extreme kindness and helpfulness and intelligence of the housekeeper, Jamie. Thank you!

“Wonderful!”
Reviewed August 5, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

A perfect location and apartment despite the steps (keeps you fit!). Jamie was a great host and the apartment is perfect- location, decor and space. Staying in this area of Granada is the best way to truly experience the Moorish heritage of the town. Get the apartment with the roof terrace- perfect at sunrise and sunset. Will be back!!

“Vintage classic convenient”
Reviewed November 20, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Love the apartment! It's clean, nice beds & rooftop with nice view. The highlight is having a house caretaker (Jamie) that is living just downstairs. We didnt have to worry about early or late check-in or check-out. Jamie helped us parked our long sedan car to the garage after our stressful ordeal of driving in the super narrow lane of Albayzin area and he even offered to drive out to main street for our journey to next destination. His advice on the hop-on/off train and drinks with free tapas was helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.

“Ideal traditional flat at the heart of the old City”
Reviewed October 25, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Very much as advertised, the flat is ideal for 2, 3 or 4 people. The main rooms are large enough. The location is superb and its situation next to a former minaret and mosque / church is so atmospheric. Just a short downhill walk to the heart of the city. Bars and places to eat are all close at hand but not too close!
The kitchen could be better equipped and there is little space to store food so cooking has to be a little basic. The bathroom is also tight but adequate.
The roof terrace is a plus, though access is a little challenging (Not suitable for young children!).

Tile floors, wooden beams, quaint Windows and a rooftop balcony with a view of Alhambra. Walking distance to town down the hill and views of Alhambra above. Also, a church bell tower just outside for more atmosphere.

“Really Good Place to Stay”

Very good location within easy reach of bars and places to eat. Excellent views from the roof terrace across the valley to the Alhambra, the Sierra Nevadas and the ancient city walls. The place was really well stocked with all the essentials (tea, coffee, sugar etc). We got good information from the owner and housekeeper about where to eat and some of the locality. Advise you to book the airport transfer through them as the route is complicated. Also ensure you check availability of the tickets to the Alhambra as soon as you can. We were able to get ours via buying a 'City card' - but only just. Great place.

“A perfect location with fantastic views apartment 2A”
Reviewed April 2, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed in this apartment for a week and we loved it!! It's in a perfect location just a 5 minute walk from the centre of the old town. There are lots of small plazas nearby for a drink, tapas or a meal. We loved sitting on the roof terrace each morning, listening to the birds and soaking up the views of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevadas. It was real treat to have a soak in the Arab bath after a long day of sightseeing. We were a little wary about the area, having read other reviews about the Albayzin, however we felt safer here than in many other large cities! It was nice to have a welcome pack of tea, coffee etc. on arrival. if flying into Malaga airport, it's definitely worth arranging to picked up..... Carrying suitcases anywhere in the old town isn't fun! Jamie is a friendly housekeeper who clearly knows the area and seems happy to help with any queries.
