Although not in the city centre, it is a comfortable and pleasant walk from the hotel (about 30 minutes). Our room had a fantastic view of the mountains and although near the motorway, the external sound proofing was good. We selected this hotel as we wanted somewhere with a nice outside pool area for our stay (few hotels in Granada appear to have anything other than very small pools). We weren't disappointed. The pool was large (if rather cool) and the setting well presented.

The hotel has a stylish modern look but its problem is that they have skimped on the quality of the materials and the finishing more generally so the furnishings are starting to look quite chipped or scuffed and parts of the rooms are starting to not work (the sink took an age to empty, the shower curtain wouldn't pull across etc). That said the room was of a nice size, the bedding comfortable etc.

Another sign of cut costs is the TV which for a hotel which clearly has a large international clientele offered only Spanish channels and not in HD.

The biggest disappointment was the breakfast which was very poor. Again this seem to be about cost cutting. The bread was stale, the fruit and cereals choices thin, the coffee undrinkable and the hot items (bacon, eggs etc) had been left to go cold. This was the same both days so clearly wasn't a one off.

So a hotel with potential but in need of some attention if it isn't to quite soon become rather frayed at the edges.

This hotel is meant for tour groups with access to bus. The hotel is about 30 mins away from the city center. Not a problem if you like to stay with your group all the time.
Hotel is very clean, modern and new. For the price it's a good value. Food is average. There's a nearby fastfood. Not much to do around this area.

i stayed in this hotel during my driving journey from Seville to Valencia. Upon arriving, the very efficient check in procedure and grant modern look of the lobby gave me a very good impression.

As far as the room was concerned, the bed was comfortable with spotless clean bathroom. I especially like the electric blinds (window cover) and their electric toilet bowl (those very common in Japan, with warm water available for cleaning. To be frank, this was the first time i saw this type of toilet bowl in Europe).

I had my buffer dinner at the hotel. The paella was the best i'd ever tried. I prefer a bit wet kind of paella and soft rice that full of seafood gravy taste.

There was a supermarket conveniently located just next to the hotel. I found the things was quite cheap. I brought a full trolley of stuff from there, such as Cava (only costed Euro 1-2 each), chocolate with 81% cacao contain (Euro 1.6 each). butter cookies with exclusive & nice packing, mineral water (Euro 0.3 each) etc. The dry pasta (mushroom flavour) and can food were also very cheap and tasty. There was great discount on many items during my visit.

In short i enjoyed my stay very much. Strongly recommended!

during our visit to Granada( this most beautiful city, which its visit to gather with Alhamra palace is a must) we stayed in this hotel upon the recomendation of tourist company.from the out side it impress you with its modern beautiful look.the Lobby is a master peice of interior design.reception was quick,.the room spacious, beautifully furnished ,and equiped...its french windows over look stunning view of" siera nevada" mountains covered by snow.the bed very c
lean, fresh, comfortable.bathroom spacious equiped with modern electric pede which i found very practical and comfortable.the hotel is 5 years old?.when you open T.V not a single english speaking channel.although this is a tourist hotel.we had dinner a buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant which i donot recommend, the buffet was poor in quality there was ham steak which we donot eat as muslims so we didnot try. i had fish fillet which was tasteless.my wife doesnot like fish .the meat dishes was not inviting at all ,so ,she tried chicken B.B.Q which was little bit more appealing only to put it aside as soon as she tried it.... to eat only bread and some vegetables.fruits was mainly from tins not fresh ??.service was not bad but it wasnot excellant either.breakfast was a disaster.out side the restaurant queue over 50 guests .at last when we arrived to the buffet all types of cooked eggs if there is any?are empty not replaced.cheese, i am not sure if it is 1 or2 types.bread....there is a show of wide variaity of bread but there is a sign (Donot TOUCH) because these are for show not for eating....only 2 white bread types are available ,,I prefere to eat black bread,.fruits only from tins not fresh fruits,..why is that???worse still there is few waitresses not sufficient at all for seating, cleaning tables, serving the tables, replacing the empty shelves with new fresh amounts ..the hotel is not in the city centre but it cost 6or 7euro when you take a taxi.my wife had a session in the SPA she told it was fantastic I recommend this hotel ONLY.if you donot eat in the hotel and you donot mind being away from city centre.....

Room Tip: rooms that view the siera nevada mountains

When first entering this hotel, I was blown away by the size and decor of the lobby. However, once I was past the facade, the rooms and details leave a lot to be desired. I asked to be moved rooms as mine was literally falling apart. However, when I spoke to other guests they said their rooms had been the same. All of the furniture is made out of cheap materials that are chipped, scratched and look like they haven't been dusted since the 1970s. There is inconsistency in what is in each room.
Room 319's window did not have a safety catch and so could open fully (swinging back on itself). This may not seem a big deal - but the windows are huge - 3ft x 3ft, so potentially dangerous.
Floor was filthy and hadn't been hoovered or mopped, a significant layer of dust and dirt over everything.
There were dangerous cracks in the floor and tiles and the door runner had come away from the bathroom sliding door and so concrete and wood chip was exposed - I trod on a safety pin that was sticking up.

Room on 5th floor:
The bathrobe ties didn't match the bathrobe and were hard and scratchy and hadn't ben ironed.
There was only one shower in this room and it was the hand-held shower. It had a holder that you should be able to adjust so you don't have to hold the shower, but this was broken and 'spun', causing water to go everywhere.

The hotel claims it is an international business and travel hotel, but there was not one English Speaking TV Channel.
The rooms were also absolutely boiling and this is because their is a general 'setting' for the whole hotel and it was still set to 'winter', meaning that the rooms were boiling when it was boiling sunshine weather outside!

Scrambled eggs were off at breakfast and I told the waiter to smell them and he just shook his head and walked off. Breakfast was poor quality too - fruit out of a tin, bacon (fried ham?). Dinner in the evening (buffet) was strange and not much variety in terms of foods that actually went well together.

Service and Spa were fantastic though. Staff waste on a hotel that seems to have put all of its money into an empty spa. Cafe in lobby served a decent club sandwich.

The Abades at Granada has a very modern, new and comfortable feel to it. It would be great for tour groups going to Granada to stay in this hotel. It is a little far away from the main city center but if you are part of a tour then it shouldn't be a problem the tour have have your. . Food is good and the hotel even has a spa.

We stayed at this hotel last year and we decided to come again without doubt.
It's modern with excellent communication by car. It has nice rooms with excellent views of the "Sierra Nevada" mountains.
Welcoming hotel reception will do your stay confortable. By the way, you can go to the spa and relax after coming back from skiing.
