We spent two nights in Granada and like most tourists, we had only Alhambra on our schedule. Thanks to the owner Manuel's guidance, we discovered that the town has so much more to offer. Manuel manages the hotel with excellence: clean, nice, very well situated close to Alhambra and a view that goes beyond anything. Most warm recommendations!

I couldn't recommend this hotel and its staff high enough. Beautifully positioned with a breakfast bar that overlooks the city and yet it is only a ten minute stroll to the Alhambra!

Book early as it is very popular.

Manuel, the proprietor looks after every possible inquiry with a skilled hand.

We had visited this hotel before and again found it a perfect place to stay. The location, just below the Alhambra, means that it is well positioned for visiting the sights of Granada and there are fantastic views over the city. However, some people may find access difficult and it is quite a slog walking uphill from the city though there is a frequent bus service that goes nearby. Manuel was again the perfect gentleman and the most knowledgeable host. The accommodation is very good and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the city was perfect. This is a lovely small hotel and a great place to stay.

Carmen has beutiful views and close to Alhambra. Owner takes time to help you plan your visit to Granada.
Please use taxi arranged by owner because private taxis are not allowed to enterance of carmen and it is difficult to carry bags uphill.

Room Tip: top room has city views.

As many travellers have already mentioned, the location , views and great hospitality from the owner Manuel. What's not to like! Be prepared for lots of walking and proper walking shoes are recommended. As this charming place is strategically located, one can walk from the guest house to the town and back, not forgetting to Alhambra too.
We took a long walk past Alhambra and hiked in the countryside amongst beautiful olive trees and mountains. A great mountain biking trail is to be found nearby too. we have not used our hire car for days after Manuel parked it! Everything was within close walking distance.
Breakfast at the guest house was not price worthy at €8 per head. We walked down the steps and took a left, found a little supermarket and an authentic coffee shop that serves breakfast for a fraction of the price with freshly squeezed oj!
The price for the stay was steep considering that there wasn't a mini fridge nor an electric kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room. For the ladies, there is a hairdryer in the room! Well, the views and convenience of its strategic location made up for it!

Room Tip: We stayed at Palmera and thought that it was a tad small. No balcony. The lighting in the room could...
