or just stay there one night ;)
We have chosen this hostel because we needed a place in a walking distance from Alhambra, as our entrance to visit the castle was at 8:30a.m. The lady that we met at the arrival (ab. 8p.m.) was "very tired" and "about to leave". She had no change as we only had 50 euros whereas the price was of 25. More bad experiances withe her but I can't actually write it as I have no proof, only the observation of two of us.
The room was clean and cheap and really close to Alhambra but terribly loud & very basic equipment (bad, chair, table). No towels, no soap, no possibility to have any breakfast in the morning. Just a selling machine with chocolate chips and coffee. Many problems to find a parking place in the sourrandings. Do not dream to parks anywhere next to the hosel.
OK for a one night stay if you need nothing more but a bed to sleep & go away.

Room Tip: you do not choose a room there, you get what they give you.

I'd recommend staying elsewhere. The room and bathroom were painfully small. The window faced the street and people could lift the metal covering and see/reach into our room. This is clearly a family that converted a few rooms into a hotel - which is sweet. But you can tell they are not well outfitted to run a hotel. They lock the door and if you don't happen to arrive when they are present, you won't get your room! The location is super convenient for visiting the Alhambra, but I wish we'd stayed closer to the action. The wifi only works in the lobby and the lobby is typically locked up. For what we paid, I probably would recommend you find a different place. To use the sink you had to literally stand in the bathtub. If you end up booking regardless of the opinions (like I did, because it was cheaper than any place else in Granada) then take comfort in knowing the people were very sweet when we checked in. She was very dilgent in offering (free) bottles of water and making sure I could access the wifi. It was VERY clean.

Upon arriving, the hostal was closed! There was no indication when it would open for us to check in. There was only a phone number. Traveling from the USA, we did not have a phone. While I went to hotel across the street, found a phone and wasted 2e, to find when it would open, the proprietor came. I was a little annoyed to have wasted money when info on the door would have helped. Come to find out, she had been there all along, cleaning. She must not have heard my knocking. The lady was actually quite apologetic and turned out to be very helpful, even offering to do our laundry for a reasonable fee. The room was very well appointed but no TV. Biggest complaint was the noise on the street. Hostal is right on the corner, across from a big hotel. Luckily, it did not go on til late. Also, the WiFi was not be good. We could not access it. Had to use the one from across the street. The best part was that it was located just minutes, walking from e Alhambra and to the center of town. Also easy access coming in and leaving the city on the beltway around Granada.

Room Tip: Try not to be on the street.

I had booked a double room for 2 people for 1 night through booking.com, but when we reached there, after a horrid hour trying to find this place, whose address no one including the tourist office was sure of, we were terribly disappointed with the shabby treatment given to us. The trouble began when the cold unsmiling, hostile old hostess was reluctant to show us our room before payment. Booking.com's description of our double room said that the room had views of Granada city, a dvd player, free wifi. The room we were given was on the street corner with blinds that wouldn't open, no tv, and of course therefore no DVD player and it turned out no wifi at all. Upon politely asking our very dour hostess if it was indeed the same room as we had booked, given its very cramped size, location on the noisy street corner and the absence of facilities our booking.com confirmation had promised, we received the passive aggressive replies: "I have other bookings," "it must be some other hostel," and that we could speak to somebody else whose English was perfect. A bearded and helmeted old man came some 20 mins later and banged aggressively on our door, violently accusing us of having upset his wife!!! He would only shout and would not lower his voice despite being requested several times and demanded that we leave right away if we did not like the room. He also said that the DVD player and the views were in one version booking.com's own fiction and in his other version, speaking of some other establishment with the same name. His belligerence continued to demand that we leave his premises immediately as our continued occupancy of the room that we had paid for would supposedly dirty it. Since we could not take either the rudeness or the violence anymore, we asked for our money back and left. None of our experiences either in Spain or in Granada or anywhere for that matter prepared us for this!

Room Tip: I would avoid

It is not easy to find it because the hostal and its address aren't in the gps map but Hotel Plaza is in front of it.
5 minutes walk from the Alhambra and city centre, than, thanks to the free parking, you can easly visit Granada by foot.
Staff very kind and helpful, but if you go in winter (like me) remember to write your arrival time in order to find the room warm otherwise, they don't turn on the electric heater.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the back because I stayed in a room on the street and it was very noise due to alh...

Booked this for a one night visit to Granada during our honeymoon. The location is perfect for visiting the Alhambra within a 10 minute walk and there are plenty of buses just down the road to to other areas of the city. We were slightly flusted on arrival as we had got a little lost driving into Granada and we didnt have long until our ticket was valid in the Alhambra palace, but Lupe, the lady at the hotel, gave us a map and highlighted points where we could go to get a drink and some tapas before our visit to ensure we had had something and also gave us a bottle of water which was an absolute god send as it was so hot and we were able to refill it throughout our visit from the drinking fountains. She also gave us directions to a couple of restaurants for the evening so we could overlook the Alhambra. The room was very clean and perfect for our visit.
