This hotel is top notch and perfectly located in the center of everything! It’s a fairly short ride in a taxi from the bus station, and it was also a fairly quick ride in a taxi to the Alhambra. The hotel itself is extremely modern and the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable, something not so common in Europe. The view from the room was remarkable and stunning looking out into the street, and it was surprisingly quiet considering we were facing the street. The people who work at the hotel are incredibly friendly and offered good advice about where to go to eat. I only have one gripe and that is the fact that there was such a strong perfume smell from the cleaning products in the lobby that it literally gave me a migraine and made me nauseous. However, I may be one of the only people who feel that way, so it’s not something I’d ever deduct a star for by an means.

I chose this hotel mainly due to the ratings on TA. Located right in the centre in an old classic building, I imagined it to have originally been a grand hotel. It was not. There was nothing old world or grand about it. We had booked a superior room, and it was located on the side street overlooking a church. Unfortunately the street noise was too much and made for a difficult nights sleep, as well as the beds being too hard (this seems to be the same in NH hotels.) They changed us to an internal room, that was quieter, but gloomy. The furniture was old and broken, the bathrooms in need of modernisation as they were knocked about a lot. The AC in this room blew directly onto the bed, making it too cold to sleep and to warm ( 40C in the day in Granada) if turned off. The engineer mad an adjustment by simply putting a piece of cardboard behind the grill to restrict the airflow. It didn’t really work. The breakfast was fine, typical NH breakfast, with eggs to order. Great front desk staff, especially Nacho. However, if I was to return to Granada I would stay at the AC Palace or the Melia, both of which looked wonderful and at similar prices. Almost all the rooms are on busy streets and most likely noisy as the double gazing was not that effective in the 1st room we had.

Have stayed here many times as the location and parking is good. However the room standard is very varying, and the rates are quite high. This time they said they upgraded my room, wich I don’t belive as the room was very worn and worse than previous stays.The bed was also harder then I remember from the past. The staff had a bit rude attitude and I didn’t feel welcome. Will choose another hotel next time. Breakfast was changed since last time and from the outside looked good, however it was better before.
