We stayed in room 302 called the Gomerez, with a small balcony looking out at the street. The room was good sized, the bathroom small, and the shower worked well but the doors left the track so it leaked a lot. Good WiFi thoughout and two plugs in good spots for charging. We did not have the breakfast, but from what I could see it was not worth the €8 per person charge. We went to a bar around the corner and had coffees, croissant and toast for €6 total. The coffee (which is free all day and night) was often just left on and burnt. The people at reception were nice and helpful, and gave us good eating recommendations and directions. We had laundry done for a reasonable €9. They pushed the twin beds together for us to make a wide double. It was a good room in a great location, and they got us the Alhambra tickets which saved us hours. We could see the top of the Alhambra from our room.

Excellent location for sightseeing, just down the hill from the Alhambra, which is about a 10 or 15 minute walk; Albaicin about the same distance away in the opposite direction; commercial center of town is right at the foot of the street. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable (thank you for recommending the “old” Las Diamantes, it was fantastic!) and always ready with a map and directions. If you are driving (avoid it if you can) finding the hotel and then the parking can be a little tricky. Rooms are small but comfortable and modern. Nice smoking terrace. Clean, well maintained. I would stay here again.

Great location if you want to get to the Alhambra early in the morning to beat the queue or going for a walk at night. Staff speaks good English and goes out their way to help. We stayed at the top floor and had a nice view of the town. The hotel is close to all the major attractions and we walked to all of them without trouble.

This hotel is perfectly located on the road that leads to the Alhambra within walking distance of all of the main historic parts of this beautiful city. Even though Granada has a thriving after dark culture, the hotel is quiet and peaceful.

The hotel is small but doesn't feel poky - there is a lovely patio on the second floor. The facilities are more than adequate - the room was clean and bright with a small but perfectly serviceable bathroom. We didn't have breakfast but availed ourselves of the 24 hour free coffee facility (very good freshly made). We had one of the mid-price twin rooms with balcony facing the street. Every afternoon we returned for our siesta to find the black-out curtains pulled and the air conditioning on making the room deliciously cool.

But the best thing about Puerta de Las Granadas is the wonderful staff. From our first enquiry they couldn't have been more helpful - booking tickets for the Alhambra, recommending bars for the best tapas, organising a visit to a very special flamenco night and suggesting lovely places off the main tourist trail where we could sit and relax. They also left us a delicious bottle of wine one night during our stay.

We spent a relaxing, truly memorable week in Granada and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Puerta De Las Granadas for 2 nights during our recent stay in Granada. The location and service were perfect. We walked everywhere and the hotel staff were very helpful with directions and recommendations. Our room was on the top floor the elevator stops just before that, which didn't bother me at all since I always use the stairs except with luggage. We chose not to eat the breakfast at the hotel. There are many places in the area to eat. The only problem we had was finding the hotel even with our gps. A guy pulled up on a motorcycle just like I read in previous reviews asking if we needed assistance and he had us follow him to the hotel and once we got there we had to quickly unload and my husband had to go to the parking garage which the guy also had my husband follow him to. I waited behind a nervous wreck thinking this guy was going to try to demand all kinds of money from my husband. About 15 minutes or so later the motorcycle pulls up with my husband on the backseat lol. He said he only paid him 4E and that he appeared fine with it.

As we told you by an e-mail, Granada is one of the most historical and monumental cities and being the hotel situated between the Alhambra, the Cathedral and the Albayzin quarter, access by car is restricted. Clients of the hotel are allowed to access the hotel only through the specific route we sent you in an email, which it is authorized by Granada City Council. We do not recommend use the GPS, or Google Maps beacause they do not take into account streets with restricted access and only permitted to clients of the hotel.

We really hope we can host you again in your next visit to our city.

I stayed here for 2 nights in May. I travelled from the train station by bus to the Cathedral, and the hotel was a short walk from there. The front desk clerk was very helpful pointing out sites of interest on the map. Granada is not a large city, and the hotel was in easy walking distance of the Cathedral, Moorish Quarter and the Alhambra, which is accessible by following the street up the hill from the hotel. My room was small (the bathroom especially), but comfortable and well-appointed. The alcove that served as a closet had a musty smell, but the room was fine otherwise. The wi-fi was reliable and the air-conditioning worked well. Free tea from the breakfast area was appreciated. There was a nice patio for relaxing. I would happily stay here again.

Regarding the space in our rooms and our bathroom, we would like to inform you that our Hotel is a 19th century building, located in a highly protected area of the city (near the Alhambra). When restoring it, we had to respect the original areas and dimensions and adapt our rooms and facilities to City council regulations.

Thank you very much for your opinion about our Staff, which is and will keep on being one of our best assets and the best pleasure we can have is to know that we have managed to be helpful for you
