Hotel is nicely situated for the tourist in Granada. Just off Plaza Nueva and a 5 minute (steep) walk to the Justice Gate of the Alhambra. Easy walking to the Alcaiceria, Plaza de Bib-Rambla, Cathedral, Paseo de los Tristes, buses to the Albayzin, etc. Stayed two nights in the Alhambra view room. It has a very nice view of the Alhambra watch tower and the Albayzin district. Room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Pictures are an accurate representation of the decor and rooms. Hotel elevator stops one floor below the room, requiring climb of one flight of stairs to access room. We knew this in advance and was not a problem. Could be a nuisance if you have heavy luggage. Hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly helpful. Good local knowledge and they want to ensure you have an enjoyable visit to Granada.

This hotel was a great find for the price and the location was perfect. It is close to the Alhambra and has charming views, but is close to downtown so you can get everywhere. The staff was helpful, the room was clean, and the air conditioning is a must in the summer!

Granada was the 2nd stop on a 7-city self-organized tour of the Iberian Peninsula. This small hotel remains a stand-out in our memories. First, the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff were unsurpassed; providing very good local information/advice as well as assisting with bookings etc. We stayed 9-days and, as luck would have it, one of us came down with a nasty flu for 2 days. Staff support in that situation was assuring and comforting. The hotel's location, on the road leading up to the Alhambra and near to the Albayzin quarter, could not have been more convenient. This small hotel was also the only one on our journey to provide a reasonably priced solution to the near total absence of laundromats in either Spain or Portugal. Finally, the promised Wi-Fi service was solid – not always the case in our travels, even at much larger establishments.

This small hotel is well situated for a trip to the Alhambra and central to the main attractions of Granada. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was quite small but adequate for our needs. There is a terrace on the top floor with views over the town and a well set up computer room as well as free WiFi . Breakfast had a good variety of choices and tea and coffee were available all the time.

We had been very spoilt with the hotels we were taken to on our "On Foot in Spain" Camino tour and choosing out own hotels proved trickey post the tour. We liked Puerta de Las Granadas though. The hotel's location in Granada was perfect for our Alhambra visit which was handy as we had an early time slot. It was also easy to walk to other sites such as the cathedral. our room overlooked the street and I loved looking down on the passing pedestrians below. We were sisters in a twin room.

The staff was very helpfull and friendly. They replyed fast on email and even ordered us tickets to Alhambra. They gave us usefull information about the city. They upgraded our room, but still, the hotellroom was a little bit small and the beds were pretty hard. I am pregnant and had very little sleep the first night. When I asked the reception, she did not hesitate to give the maids a message to place blanckets under my sheets and extra pillows - thanks :) The breakfast was ok.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your opinion in Tripadvisor We feel deeply sorry that the bed was not up to your wishes and liking and that you couldn't sleep well your first night.

Regarding the space in our rooms, we would like to inform you that our Hotel is a 19th century building, located in a highly protected area of the city (near the Alhambra). When restoring it, we had to respect the original areas and dimensions and adapt our rooms and facilities to City council regulations.

Likewise, We are very grateful for your opinion about our staff that always tries to do its utmost to be helpful.

We really hope we can host you again in your next visit to our city.

Best regards

My husband and I stayed at the Puerta de las Granada for two nights. We were very pleased with the location as it is steps from the Plaza Nueva as well as at the base of the hill leading up to the Alhambra. Prior to our stay, the staff at the hotel kept in touch with me via email to reserve our tickets for the Alhambra, which was very much appreciated. They were prompt and professional with our emails. Upon arrival, Carlos checked us in and did a great job showing us all the city's attractions on a map. He also mapped out a nice walking route for us to see the Albayzin. He upgraded us to a bigger room with a street view. The staff was great-they were very courteous, helpful and spoke English well. Our room was on the small side, but it was clean. The beds were a little uncomfortable and because we were facing the street where all of the visitors from the Alhambra were walking down, we had a lot of noise so sleeping was hard for us. We had breakfast once downstairs, which was simply but did the trick. The location was within walking distance to other parts of town and especially the Alhambra. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and for the value, it met our needs while in Granada.
