“Amazing food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014 via mobile

Great arab restaurant owned by people from Morocco. I ordered a meat cous cous and it was delicious. The typical arab deserts were also very good. The place is decorated and ambiented moorishly and the price was average; neither too cheap nor too expensive. Give it a try if you are around Carrera del Darro.

“Moorish fare close to the Alhambra”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

We weren't sure about this one - lots of boards outside with pictures of food rarely makes for a good culinary experience, but Mr TripAdvisor told us that it would be good and we weren't disappointed. Interesting decor, high quality food, tasty, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Top recommendation for those evenings when you are starting to get a bit bored of Tapas.

PS No alcohol but fantastic tea and soft drink selections

“Hearty food, friendly service ”

We came across this restaurant whilst strolling along the street and decided to give it a try. We had the beef tagine with prunes and it was so tender and flavourful. The chicken pastilla was also good. We enjoyed the food so much we went back the following day for lunch and ordered the beef tagine again. When the restaurateur (a different one from the one who served us the evening before) found out we had been there the previous evening, he gave us complimentary moroccan mint tea.

I'd go back again if I'm ever in Granada again.

“Yummy”

Located towards the end of the street along the Rio Darro. The tajin dishes were tender and flavorful. Excellent pairing with Moroccan mint tea. Service was genuinely good and sincere. Enjoyed it so much, we dined there twice over 2 days.

“Great food, and a unique atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

The Restaurante Marrakech fits perfectly into the Albaicin area of Granada. Excellent value in comparison to some of the restaurants higher up the Albaicin, we had a delicious meal, and the restaurant was surprisingly quiet when we visited. We ate traditional Moorish selections (falafel, hummus, spinach salad, meatballs, couscous and chicken tagine were our choices) and were offered a wide selection of drinks - milkshakes, smoothies, juices, teas, coffee. The spiced teas were particularly excellent, served in delicate silver teapots to be drunk black from a small glass, in the traditional style.

The food was delicate, and never overly-spiced. Everything was piping hot, and in large portions. The young woman serving us was attentive and helpful, offering menus in English, and helping us to order in our halting Spanish.

Hookahs were available although we didn't indulge, but we regretted not leaving room for the fantastic looking arabic pastries on display. A large meal for two, with several drinks, including a tip, still came to under 40 euros.
