We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint hotel located in the heart of the old city in Granada. It's on a pedestrian street and only a 15 minute walk to the Alhambra. The staff was courteous, without exception, and the breakfast excellent. This is a great value.

We stayed at this 16th century 'palace' which had a separate bedroom and a living room with kitchenette where our teenager had a trundle bed. The hotel common rooms were very nice, especially the several interior courtyards. The 'room' was nothing special, although it was very helpful to have a kitchenette and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The location was good, in the quaint and historical Albacin district close to the Plaza Nueva (taxi drop off place). Plenty of nearby restaurants and sites. The only real detractor was that this 16th century building has essentially no sound proofing against the alley ways. So, expect to be woken up repeatedly until 2-3 AM with gangs of young guys singing drinking songs which echo due to the narrow alleyways. The wooden shutters do nothing to dampen the sound. No motor traffic noises but foot traffic extremely loud as they pass directly next to the windows in the narrow alleys. If you plan to stay out late, yourself, this is probably a great option given the location and historical setting.

Had a very pleasant stay here during the off season (Dec '12). Staff was friendly and helpful (despite the fact that I had inadvertently messed up the reservation). The room wasn't huge, but we weren't in Granada to spend time at the hotel. It was in fact quite warm inside the room, so we did have to open the windows a few times (couldn't figure out how to turn down the heat!) but otherwise beds and everything else were very comfortable. The location in the old town couldn't be better, though if you are coming with a car you will need to park some ways away and walk over with your bags. The entire old town is restricted to cars. Overall very happy with our stay here.

1500's hotel in a great location, we would stay again, fine breakfast, hot water in showers, it was mid November (2012) and cold but the room was warm, theree is a fine staff. The age of the hotel makes for some restrictions: rooms are very small, ours was so small that the double bed occupied almost the whole space, windows very small, stairwell was difficult for us, no elevator. We seek old city hotels like this, understanding their limitations, so we were fine there, but if you are not fine with the limitations we mentioned you might want another hotel.

We were booked into the hotel by our travel company because of its central location and we were not disappointed by its convenience.
At the end of October, it was quite cold in the hotel, even though the courtyard was covered. The bedroom had underfloor heating, which was a godsend. The breakfast room was a little functional and the breakfast itself rather unimaginative. The only communal area was a courtyard where it was far too cold to sit. The breakfast room was open for breakfast and again for hot drinks in the late afternoon . Our room did not have a view - the window was high up on the wall - and overlooked a back yard, but that did not bother us. Our friends were given a room over the front door and did not sleep very well because of noise from the alleyway.

Walk up a steep stepped alleyway.
Knock on a big wooden door and they release an unseen lock. Enter a precious little entry with a wonderfully charming young staff who greet you. Fabulous breakfast included, clean rooms, nice toiletries, very hot water in the spa shower. Truly a gem!!!

There is much to commend this hotel, including a beautiful old building and excellent location. And of course Granada, which never disappoints. All I would say is avoid room 303, which is poorly decorated compared to the other rooms our party were using. And it smells badly of drains. And complaining did not bring the best out of the otherwise helpful staff! It is also worth checking whether the room is going to be suitable for children, as ours wasn't.

Room Tip: Consider suitability for smaller kids as our bathroom has a slightly odd set of steps to the bathroo...
