“A Fantastic Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

Our night, spent in Hotel Casa, couldn't have been more perfect. We where made to feel very welcome and where shown to our room by Jose who was the perfect host. We stayed in a beautiful room, over looking the Alhambra, which has everything you will need for your stay. The hotel is well situated with lots of bars and restaurants close by.
My first visit to Granada, defiantly won't be my last, and Hotel Casa will be our first choice of hotel next time.

We spent 2 nights in an upgraded superior room at Hotel Casa 1800 Granada at the end of a wonderful 2 week road trip to Southern Spain. It was a big disappointment as we were expecting a nice room at a fabulous hotel after reading reviews. Our room was small, dark and stuffy with bad odors and noise coming from every attempt at opening a window or door. We were at the end of a hall right next to a housekeeping closet that was in constant use. There was also a chain smoker hanging out of a window directly outside our bathroom window and there was constant noise from the courtyard even though our room wasn't even on the courtyard. The people were friendly and breakfast fine but I guess we had a horrible room -it wasn't the lasting memory we wanted for the end of our trip.

Room Tip: Pass on room 14

My husband and I recently stayed here for our honeymoon - chosen for its location near to the Alhambra Palace. It was perfect! As described we were at the foot of the Alhambra - a lovely 20 minute walk away. The hotel staff were amazing - so helpful and spoke very good English. On our second night they surprised us with a lovely bottle of bubbles to help us celebrate our honeymoon.
The room was lovely overlooking the courtyard where breakfast was served. Way better than its 3 star rating. Maybe the fact that it has no bar or restaurant is the reason for this. To be honest we did not miss this at all. Its location is perfect for exploring Grenada with its multitude of Tapas bars and restaurants so close by. Well worth a visit and definitely worth a stay here.

Room Tip: choose a room overlooking the courtyard.

We spent a fabulous night in the wonderful hotel casa. The room and hotel encapsulated the charm, the history, the splendour of my most favourite city, Granada. To add to this the staff were helpful and accomodating and a very special thanks to Jose who was so lovely and made us feel like royalty. Thank you very much.

Room Tip: Top rooms for glorious views of the Alhambra

Gorgeous (quite possibly the most beautiful I've ever stayed in!) hotel. Very historic, tucked in a hidden street, but relatively convenient. Upon arrival we were showed to a basic room (practically outside) so we asked to be upgraded to a better room. A suite was available and the furnishings were stunning. Both bed and bathroom were very comfortable. The stay was a real treat and staff were helpful / courteous.

I expected more from the city of Granada itself. Shopping was good, Alhambra was interesting (but not beautifully restored like the alcazar). The city was a bit lackluster is comparison to Seville. Happy we had the hotel to spend some relaxing time!

Hotel Casa 1800 offers comfortable rooms surrounding a courtyard lobby with retractable roof cover. We were upgraded to a junior suite, rather elegantly furnished, overlooking the center courtyard. Although breakfast is not included, the hotel offers a lovely tea in the afternoon. It is convenient to the attractions of Granada. The staff we encountered were courteous and pleasant to deal with.
