“Very charming nice hotel”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

The lady who worked there on 2,3 Nov,2012, she is very nice and helpful for all the questions we asked. The hotel itself is a bit difficult to find in the beginning, but it is with a lot of charm for it's special interior decoration. The afternoon tea is very good for its homemade palmier.miam miam.
Highly recommended to take the superior room with nice view and little terrace to see the alhambra view directly from the private room....

Room Tip: Take the superior room with private terrace will be a good choice. But for old people maybe this h...

October 2012 holiday in Granada with two other couples.
We were delighted with Hotel Casa1800 the staff are so friendly and obliging.
We had good rooms 2 overlooking the central courtyard.
Afternoon tea was delicious and a hearty breakfast was provided (English breakfast tea a little scarce!)
The location is central and ideal for all major attractions.
We had a great time in Granada made even more special by this hotel.
Thank you and keep up the good work.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms by reception and No 4 was ground floor in the courtyard.

The Hotel Casa 1800 is the perfect place to stay in Granada. My husband and I loved it! We stayed there during our Honeymoon and booked one of the Junior Deluxe suites. It was well worth the money! The building has so much character and our room was lovely, decorated in golds and creams with dark wooden furniture. The high, wooden, beamed ceiling in our living room area was amazing!
We loved the free afternoon tea, which we ate in the courtyard area. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated, as it is at the edge of the Albaicin area (the old town, filled with winding streets, making their way up the hillside, with amazing views of the Alhambra) and it is also close to the restaurant and shopping area of the city. You can happily reach everywhere on foot and even though the climb up to the Alhambra was extremely steep it was well worth it. On a clear day you can see the whole of Granada and the stunning snow capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada. The Hotel Casa 1800 is the perfect place to stay in beautiful Granada!

Room Tip: The photos of the rooms on the website are very accurate.

although designated a 3 star establishment this hotel delivered 5 star service. Our standard room was quite small but nicely appointed. Bathroom with shower had all the usual facilities. The inclusive afternoon tea was a delight, breakfast was nicely presented and more than adequate. But the key here is the exceptionally charming, polite and helpful staff. They were all young but displayed a genuine desire to be helpful and pleasant which is frankly a rarity in this age of over trained plastic personalities. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made you feel welcome at all times. Congratulations to the people behind this business to create an environment where young professional hoteliers can flourish.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are quite small. probably worth upgrading if your pocket will allow. Great cent...

This hotel was a great find. It's ideally placed for a quiet walk up to the Alhambra and all the other benfits of the Albaicin area. It's nicely placed up a traffic-free lane, very close to the main Plaza Nueva.
All the staff were delightful - very friendly, cheerful and helpful. They couldn't be better. The building is charming and quite quirky, with some of the bedrooms arranged around a courtyard, where seating is provided for relaxing and breakfast. We had 2 stays, with a visit to Cordoba in between, in different rooms. One was on the first floor, with windows onto the courtyard. As these provided the only ventilation, I found some mild noise disturbing, as guests returned at night after we'd gone to bed. The second room was in a higher price bracket and avoided this. The rooms are lovely and characterful.
Breakfasts were very good, but an excellent touch was the included afternoon tea - sandwiches and cakes.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you need quiet sleep, ask for a room not overlooking the courtyard, or keep your windows closed.

The hotel is very well located, staff are very helpful and the room was great. The hotel is situated in a pedestrian only area and the sightseeing opportunities around the hotel are wonderful. The building that the hotel is situated in is very old and it literally feels like you've stepped back in time when you walk in to it. Fortunately the hotel has all modern conveniences inside, including strong Wifi.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Al Hambra

We stayed with a group of friends in October. The hotel is in a very old house and some of the rooms and bathrooms can be a bit small, but overall it deserves more than its 3 stars. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and serving free afternoon tea was a lovely touch, much appreciated by some of us. Breakfast was excellent with very good coffee (OK it came from a capsule but was none the worse for that). The location is excellent, close to the Alhambra and the main tourist attractions in the modern city and beside the Santa Anna Church (it never seemed to be open) with pleasant walks along the stream. A really good place to stay in an old building but near the modern centre

Room Tip: The upper floors have better views - perhaps even of the Alhambra
