The comfort of the beds was average although on this occasion in Spain the mattress was foam and more comfortable than spring mattress that are most awful...The staff were knowledgeable on the local area and keen to help. Wi-fi was impressively fast, in fact much better than I have experienced in many large, high class hotels. All in all a good stay

Parador in the Alhambra. There is little that can be said in praise of the establishment that has not been said. I was a guest in 1975 and the hotel (including its staff) has maintained its exceptional quality.

I know this place is pricey and you think it wouldn't be worth it. I thought the same thing, then my husband changed my mind by asking how many times are you going to be in Granada? This place is so worth every penny especially if you are only staying here a day or two. The room was amazing, the bathroom was fantastic, the views, the hotel grounds were all worth it! This was one of the highlights of my trip to Spain. I would have seriously regretted it if I hadn't stayed here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Generalife.

We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but this hotel really stands out. To stay in a building with such a history, within the Alhambra, was amazing in itself. To have a room with a view over the Generaliffe was extraordinary. To walk in the lovely gardens, and sit in the patios knowing they had been used for hundreds of years was very special. We were looked after from the second we drove to the front gate. Our room, one of only 35 in the hotel, was beautifully furnished, with all we could wish for. The dining room offered excellent food, good service, and a lovely ambience. You will probably need to book early to get in, because this hotel is well known as the jewel of the Paradors of Spain

Had an absolutely delightful stay here. Rooms were large modern and the bathrooms also huge. We didn't ask for a room with a view -I assume they are views actually of the Naserid palace or the Generalife itself- but we overlooked the gardens between the hotel and the trail to the Generalife and it was gorgeous.
We arrived early about noon as we had tickets early afternoon for the Naserid. Reception was great looking after our luggage till we returned later in the afternoon.
It's very difficult to drive to and there is actually a security barrier where they only let you into the Alhambra if you say you are a guest. There is a car park to the right of the hotel entrance but no obvious signs saying its the hotel carpark and it had a security fence with an intercom to reception for them to open. We only learned of it after walking to reception to ask where to park. Would be nice to have some heads up on the reservation details or signs on the carpark entrance.
Restaurant food was also first class. We stayed at 4 Paradors on our trip and the dinner and breakfast here was the best of the lot. Well worth the €30 per person dinner price if you ordered the parador dinner menu.
It's pricey but so convenient. Between our tours of the palace and the gardens it was so useful to be able to go to the room for a short break and to freshen up.
Well worth the extra money for the convenience of being right in the Alhambra and the rooms and food were good value for what you get.

If you want to be in the center of the city this is not the place for you; but if you want a tranquil setting with beautiful garden's and views straight out of postcards, this is the place for you. After walking the gardens, you can sit in the outdoor restaurant or the private terrace at the hotel. The rooms are a good size with nothing special as far as decorations. I don't understand why most hotels in this category have showers with no ledge tall enough that water doesn't come pouring out when you open the door to the shower. The jets are wonderful, but it is easy to flood the room. The staff is helpful if asked. If you want to reserve here you must do so almost 8-9 months in advance.

Stayed here for four nights. Location is charming and hard to beat for accessing the Alhambra but room is quite modest for the price. Front desk staff were very helpful and food/service in dining room was generally good. In retrospect, I should have stayed in an upgraded room with views of the Alhambra for two nights and then changed to a hotel in town for the last two nights.
