Location excellent to go out to dinner and to visit the old and new Granada. However book the correct room! We booked the interior room which is in the ground floor without windows. We requested an upgrade and ended in the best room for 170 euros. This room is really something!! Breathtaking view! But nevertheless small for the price. The other room was smaller and a bit pricy (130). Breakfeast expensive but good

upon entering the casa morisca you are blown away by the beauty of the house. a tiled inner courtyard with wooden terraces lining the walls. kind of like going back in time. the location is ideal in the heart of the ancient granada district on the hill with the Alhambra looming over you. it is worth spending the extra 35+ euros for one of the better rooms with a view. very romantic and tastefully done. the staff was competent and friendy - we especially loved our cleaning lady. would go back any time.

Room Tip: pay a little extra for a good room with a view

This is a very beautiful hotel and I have no hesitation is going for 5 stars. It has 15 rooms, I think, in a 15th century house reminiscent of a Moroccan riad, on 2 1/2 floors built round an open courtyard. The building reminded us of an Escher picture where the levels are difficult to categorise. The atmosphere in the hotel is one of cool, tranquil elegance. We were very lucky as we got the Mirador room. This is very small and on the top level, but has unbelievable views of the Alhambra, just across the ravine. The hotel is at the top end of Albaicin, about 15 minutes walk up the hill from town, or a few minutes on the bus. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, and the hotel recommended a local restaurant (Azafran) where we were very happy to have dinner twice. Wifi worked fine and the hotel breakfast is pretty good value. Although we were using trains, we noticed that guests were able to park right outside the hotel. One little touch which was very impressive - Victor at reception was extremely helpful regarding an item we left by accident on checking out. An outstanding place to stay!

Room Tip: If at all possible, try to stay in the Mirador room.

Stunningly beautiful, quiet and very special. One of those reviews where you only want to whisper as you don't want too many people to know about this gem. Great location too & parking. Our room (8) was simply magnificent and it was a real treat when we opened the door to see a decorated wooden ceiling and view from the bed to the Alhambra itself.

We loved our stay at Casa Morisca. We were very lucky as due to a small fault on our reservation we were upgraded to the room at the top of the hotel which boasted incredible views of the Alhambra from both the bedroom and bathroom. The chap who checked us in was a wealth of information, giving us great tips on getting round Granada, where to ea, what to eat and drink and useful information about getting to the Alhambra.

My only criticism is that the optional breakfast option was overpriced and 12 euros for a very simple buffet.

Room Tip: The top room is the most expensive room in the hotel but well worth it as a treat!

We only stayed one night but wished we had planned to stay longer. Lots to look around. Ideally located near the river in the old part of the town within a easy walk up to the Alhambra palace or you can catch the bus. They claim to have views from all the rooms well our room only looked out onto the front of the hotel so nothing special there but the room was lovely, quite special. The breakfast was ok but a little pricey. Plenty of restaurants nearby most with stunning views of the Alhambra palace. Finding the hotel was quite an experience. The sat nav was more or less useless we suggest you contact the hotel and ask them for the best location to put in a sat nav and then ask for directions to the hotel.

After 2 weeks of touring Andalusia, this hotel still stood out. Small, only 15 rooms and beautifully restored (Moorish); even though we don't normally spend much time in hotels as we're exploring, the heat in July was in the high 30s so some afternoons we went back to the room to read - not many rooms are that conducive to hanging around, but our room here had French windows and views to the greenery of Generalife and it was spacious enough to feel we were in a sitting room not just a bedroom. Sounds pathetic but it was the only hotel on our travels with a kettle - despite the draw of local bars and cafes sometimes it was great to just be able to make our own brew. Loved the furnishings too - all done with style and care, and not an OTT price. A definite repeat for us!

Room Tip: We loved our room, number 10 - but apparently you can see the Alhambra from 15!
