Review of Carrera del Darro

Reviewed October 29, 2013

is a street,is a traditional one,has an interest and a beauty. the town generally does not have many things to see and visit.so it is nice to stop and take some photos to remember your trip.

The narrow street follows a small river and houses a (temporarily closed) museum and very well conserved Arabian baths. Entrance is free.
Be careful as taxis and buses negotiate the narrow passage.
Romantic views of little old bridges.

We stopped along the way on the Segway tour and took time to view the river and see the Alhambra above. Relaxing place.

This is a very pleasant and scenic walk. As we were staying just off this street, we ate outside at one of the restaurants a couple of times. The evening is the most popular time to stroll down the street and it was nice people watching as we ate our meal. Street entertainers will serenade you with their guitars and you can look up at the Alhambra as the spotlights come on in the late evening. There are plenty of fascinating shops and decent places to eat. The terrain is flat so it's an easy walk.
Well worth an evening stroll.
TIP: Beware of the buses and taxis that take up most of the narrow road as they drive by!

This is a lovely cobbled street with the river running along side and views of the Alhambra from the bottom of the hill.

However taxis, buses and other cars love to hurtle down this very narrow street so watch out for them!
