“Old area - a must visit”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

We enjoyed our walk around the area. Lovely old buildings, narrow streets and all in all you should go there if in Granada.
Great views to the Alhambra.

“Don't waste your time if its raining”
Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

I know my opinion is skewed because it was down pouring the whole time I was there, but it's good to know and be able to share that it's just straight up not worth it in the rain. The roads are very slick and there are pracitcally no places for shelter. Additionally there are sketchy people in the area but just use common sense and your best judgement in dealing with them.

“Give yourself enough time to explore.”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Good tip if you're not disposed to mountain climbing, take the No. 31 Bus to the top and walk down through the streets. Leave enough time to wander and try and go early evening when the bars and restuarants are open. Facsinating.

“Go, but be careful”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

This old part of Granada is definitely worth visiting. Spend a couple of hours in the narrow streets, stop at one (or two) of the tapas bars and enjoy the view from the 'Mirador'. But don't forget to watch your belongings at the same time, as there are some 'strange' people in the area and muggings etc. are not unheard of. Nothing happened to us, but other tourists told us about some negative experience (cameras and handbags stolen in a street and near the mirador - while 'performers' were distracting their attention).
