“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2014

Great small hotel, very well located, excellent bilingual and helpful staff. The room was not large but modern, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant was terrific. Close to major attractions, restaurants, bars and railway station. All in all highly recommnded

Room Tip: Street side rooms have double opening doors and a small balconey.

Excellent small hotel right in the historic centre of Granada. Had a very Spanish feel to it. Lovely old furniture etc., but rooms were modern and very comfortable. Completely quiet at night. Great position for visiting Cathedral, Albaicín, and for catching bus/ taxi up to the Aljambra. Excellent value for money including wonderful breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Would certainly recommend this friendly hotel.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Granada. We were given a nice room on arrival but we were moved to another room as the bathroom basin was blocked. The second room smaller but comfortable.
Breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff very friendly and helpful.

While this hotel is in a great location and has helpful and nice staff, our rooms were below our expectations. The sink was cracked, shower curtain stained and the second room was not clean on check in. Bedding very warn and needed an upgrade. We don't expect or want European hotels to look like a brand new American hotel, but this hotel needs a remodel!

An excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Double room was of very good size but the bathroom was on the small side. Excellent buffet breakfast which was served in the cafeteria which had lovely furniture. A good way of tasting Spanish and international food.

Just got back from a four night stay. Very relaxing hotel. With an old world charm. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very traditional. Very clean. Good view over the pool. The food was very good. Also traditional mostly. Although they do 'themed' nights. While we were there we had an 'Arabian' nights dinner, and an 'American' dinner. 3 courses for lunch and dinner. Breakfast a couple of mornings were buffet, and on the others were a la carte.
We stayed full board. But drinks were not included.
The area surrounding the hotel is not really touristy. There is nothing to do there, so we had to get a train to Ronda, which took two hours. The hotel is close to the train and bus station.
Buses go to tarifa, and Cadiz, also to Gibraltar.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are quiet.

This was my second stay at this very centrally located Hotel, which I first reviewed exactly a year ago. Things have not changed. The lobby with its collection of Lorca paraphernalia on view in small display cases, the attractive paintings and statues that grace every floor. It was great to be back and to be instantly recognized and welcomed by Mari Luz, Frederico and Jose Luis who share the reception duties. Always helpful and courteous and eager to please. My small, compact, single room on the first floor overlooked Tablas street, where there is a fair amount of pedestrian movement due to the proximity of a popular shopping and restaurant area. By 11 PM practically all is quiet and an inexpensive, good night's sleep is forthcoming. What more does anyone wish for?
