stayed here in April and we were not disappointed. Easy to park car park opposite hotel and walk to Alhambra. Rooms were comfortable and full of character. We didn't eat at the hotel instead choose to eat at in Granada which was a pleasant walk from the hotel.

Hotel Guadalupe is nice, little hotel directly across the street from The Alhambra and its parking lot where you can park overnight. For those traveling by car it's extremely convenient. Public mini buses run into the city every 10 minutes - it takes 5 minutes down the hill for less than 2 Euros - so you aren't cut off from the night life and tourist attractions in Grenada. There is a hop-on, hop-off bus minutes away that leaves every 15 to 20 minutes too that is a bargain - reg. 8 Euros for 24 hrs, seniors pay only 2 Euros! The rooms are spotless and comfortable with attractive Andalusian-tiled bathrooms. Don't be taken aback by the gaudy, touristy street. The hotel is very cosy and completely quiet at night, which is a godsend. You can enjoy better dining and the lively night life in Grenada and then retreat to Hotel Guadalupe for a good night's sleep!

Room Tip: We found the food in this area horrible. Better to dine in Grenada!

We chose this hotel based on its position relative to the Alhambra as it is right across the road from the main ticket office and entrance. It is also very close the one of the main parking areas, making it convenient if coming by car and the hotel offers a reduced price on parking.

We arrived in Granada early during a massive downpour and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful team at the front desk. They also allowed us to check in early at 11am which was a huge help given the weather outside.

The rooms are spacious and were more than adequate for our overnight stay and we didn't spend much time in the hotel. The price however was a little pricey given that breakfast was not included. The food in the hotel is also below average and I would recommend that and visitors rather walk or catch a shuttle bus down the hill into town for some local tapas.

Overall this is an average hotel, with excellent front desk staff and the perfect location.

This Hotel couldn't be nearer to The Alhambra unless it was inside the walls!

Great modern hotel with all the mod cons. Very good reception, very helpful, also good English. Would highly recommend this hotel for visitors to The Alhambra. It is also very quiet and it's only 1.4E to get bus down to the middle of Granada and this stops a stones throw from the front door, as does the hop on and hop off bus. Both turn around BEFORE the hotel so you don't get all the noise. We parked in the Alhambra car park and the hotel can get you a rate of 15.50E per day, no need to book - maybe in the height of the season, but we were here in May and the car park was practically empty and it's huge - 7000 people capacity per day for Alhambra - so no doubt the car park could get full!

Downside of this hotel - room safe. Cost 3E per day. I've never been charged for the use of a room safe!
Breakfast - overpriced and you would be charged "cooked" rate for cereal! Go 50m down the st to Jardine Alberto, half the price with a garden terrace. Fab. In the evening too.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back overlooking the olive orchard. Very quiet and I honestly can't see t...

If you are looking for a hotel close to Alhambra, it is a good place but other than that I don't think we will be going back there. You have to calculate 15 euros per day for parking, 5 euros for safe/day, 6-9 euros for breakfast (which was not worth the value)/day on top of the room cost. We found strange mosquito like animals all over the ceiling!

Room Tip: go to the bar on the left of the hotel, cheap and great breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice...

Location location location. You can't get any better if you're like us and on a quick trip through to see the Alhambra. Requested a room in a quiet section and got it. Top floor overlooking the olive groves. Pay parking was right across the street as part of the Alhambra parking lot and secure. The room itself was very nice; bathroom was large and clean; staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Asked for the top floor facing the olive groves - nice and quiet.

Guadalupe is located near the top of the city which makes for steep climbs through the city but once you reach the hotel you're thankful for the views. While the city is warmer and bustling the scenery leading up to and around the hotel are breathtaking. From our room we were able to see snippets of the alhambra, alone with the olive groves that are abundant in this area. The hotel is clean and the rooms were nicely decorated but a little on the small side. There was free internet access with a small bar/restaurant off the tiny main lobby. I would definitely stay here again. This is a lovely place for persons who are able to manage the hike to and from town and want a little romance in their vacation.
