“Rather pleasant”

This is a very good hotel with spacious rooms and excellent staff.

The food was ok but choice was limited. It would not go amiss to actually label the food so that you had an idea what you were about to put on your plate. We found ourselves having to ask at every mealtime what this or that was. The coffee and juices were one of the best we have had in any hotel if not the best.

The rooms as mentioned were spacious by Spanish standards with comfortable beds and kept very clean by the housekeepers. Unlike most hotels, coffee and tea making facilities were provided, unfortunately, no milk which we had to ask for at the café downstairs. Our shower did not work very well, but since we were only there for a weekend, we didn't make a fuss out of it. The toiletries provided were rather nice and good quality. There could be a few more English speaking channels provided on the TVs but this is easily remedied by changing the language settings (if the programmes are dubbed into Spanish).

The hotel itself is a bit out of the way and you will find that getting around on a taxi is a must unless you have your own transport. Taxis and food are not cheap in Granada...taxis will often have a 2 or 3 euros surcharge even before you get in! A walk to the centre is a good 15 to 20 minutes.

Would we go back again? Well, the answer to this is yes. Unfortunately, once you have been to the Alhambra and up to Sierra Nevada, there is not much else to do in Granada. So no matter how much we enjoyed the Gran Luna, there is not much point in revisiting it.

We stayed here for 3 nights with 2 our kids. For the first night we were located in one room with king size bed and a sofa, that was not what we expected because we booked a family room which, as we thought, will have separates areas for sleep. We asked reception to relocated us and they did it just next morning. Many thanks for this to very nice hotel staff! Note that a family room in this hotel is not always a room with 2 separated area, but it can also be a room with 4 beds.
Hotel restaurant was perfect! There was a very good choice of different food (including national dishes like paella and many others) for breakfast and for dinner.
Hotel swimming pool is very popular and has very convenient working schedule. There is also SPA which you have to book in advance! The gym area is quite small but good equipped.
There is also a mini-club provided for kids (it's in the same area with swimming pool, gym and spa). Our kids have visited it once and returned back very happy.
There is underground parking for 15EUR per day.
So we were quite happy to stay in this hotel and can definitely recommend it for families.

Well located just off the main E15 Mediterraneo motorway, and convenient for travellers visiting the Sierra Nevada or Alhambra. The impressive department store El Corte Ingles is right next door. However, the city centre & main Plazas are situated at the other end of town. There are public bus links very close to the hotel.
Parking costs extra, and is by means of a public underground building, and costs 17 euros per day - you can pay in the hotel, or in the parking booth.
The hotel was recently refurbished, and looks great. The rooms are well appointed, with tea & coffee making facilities (a rare thing in Spain!). Beds are comfortable.
It was the level of service that let the establishment down immensely. We arrived at 12 noon, to be told our room was not yet ready, and check in was from 1pm. Fair enough, it seemed busy, so we said we would return at 1. On our return, our rooms were still not ready. Our luggage was held behind the reception desk, and the receptionist took our number and said he would call when the room was ready for occupation. Come 5pm, we had not heard a word, so we returned to the hotel. After a long wait (2 receptionists on duty, with a long queue of guests also waiting), we eventually checked in. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the receptionist, but he was too busy & under pressure to care very much. The hotel seemed to be understaffed in all areas. Only one bartender in the main lobby bar/coffee shop. Breakfast was a chaotic affair - buffet style - with food warmers that did not serve their purpose, spilled food on the floors, lack of clearing service from the table. One good point - freshly ground coffee, albeit from a self-service machine!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the motorway are well sound-proofed.

Estimado cliente.
