Great on many levels. Room nicely done. Great bathroom. Nice views from the 6th floor, but with a pool and area on the rooftop open other seasons, must be even better than excellent. Great great breakfast. One of the best on our trip so far. Good service. Nice lobby. Free wifi! A treat as I don't have to sign off and on to use iPad and laptop like the paid services elsewhere. Close to food, across the street from El Corte Ingles, close to sites, on bus line to bus station and train station area. Walked to Sacromonte, and Alhambra. Wonderful murals in the stairwells.

Wanted someplace central, and this place sounded great from the website. Easy to get to, quick check in, very warm welcome, and a great room with a small balcony, well equipped. Comfortable bed, good bathroom. Wi-fi free of charge. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, so many choices, and very good quality. Great service, excellent coffee! Enjoy!

A gem of a hotel. Room service, (which we had to get due to child getting sick) was well priced and delicious. The front desk bends over backwards to help you. I had a situation with my rental and they helped me out. The young man named Miguel was just the best as he helped me with my car.
I would certainly stay here again. Its in the center of town and rooms are spacious and the most comfortable beds. The 3rd bed was actually a futon opened up but just close that and its all good.

My fave city so far and free appetizers (tapas) just around the corner at another hotel bar.

Room Tip: There is no view in room 201 but very quiet corner room in a suite - like corner.

Our second excellent stay at the Carmen. We had booked in a different hotel but were very disappointed with the standard of accommodation and luckily the Carmen had a vacant room and car park. The lobby, bars, restaurant and lounges are spacious and very nicely decorated and furnished. All staff are friendly and helpful, especially the porter who parked our car and helped with our luggage. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, modern, well decorated and furnished. Breakfast at the hotel has loads of choice and is of good quality. The hotel is very central for all amenities. Plentiful tapas bars and restaurants in short walking distances. Shopping is all around. Churros are a must and the best, fresh ones can be found in Plaza Bib Rambla around 5pm - scrumptious with thick chocolate sauce.

Very central to all city and yet quiet. Welcoming reception area. Pleasant, but distant, reception staff. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed.Good breakfast buffet with a friendly waitress. I would stay again or recommend the hotel without hesitation.
