“Good property, poor service”

Had a great room for an overnight stay on a bus tour here. Room was all functional with very good air conditioning.
Pool was great in the afternoon heat but their towel collection system needs work. To actually find the pool only to be told to go back to reception to get a ticket for the towel that is right in front of you is an unnecessary pain. Either staff have no idea of service in the pool area or management is not worried about quality control in this area. Very slow and unaccommodating service.
Buffet breakfast was fine.

We stayed at the end of August for two nights (visiting the Alhambra) - got a reasonable deal through Booking.com. It's a very comfortable hotel with a Moorish feel. Nice swimming pool although somewhat surrounded by orangey-coloured hi-rise buildings of which this hotel is one.

The rooms were fine - comfy beds, annoyingly laboursome TV selection process (but no BBC! Only a Chinese news channel extolling the many virtues of the country).

Breakfast was poor - two choices at 5 and 11 euros (wioth little to choose between them) -nasty orange juice.

It was very very quiet - hardly anyone in the lobby or at breakfast.

No gym much to the disgust of my sons.

It's about 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Book car parking beforehand - one of those stressful foundation lots...

Don't miss the Alhambra - awesome, stunning, breathtaking.

I am staying here for two weeks, being enrolled in a language course. I saw a recent review, and do not really understand. To me the staff seems to fulfill exactly what I would or could expect. My room is a classic hotel room. I had to tell the lady not to change all my towels every day. The swimming pool is exactly what you expect it to be. The food? Breakfast(included for me) is just good, not excellent. Here, I would expect fresh orange juice, and, sorry, their bacon is not like what you would get in London. Had two evening meals here...and will look outside for a nicer experience. But really not expensive .
Situation? A 10 minute walk to my school, or to the shopping areas.
Maybe the previous person commenting on this hotel did not try a "buenas Dias" or "que tal" when approaching someone from the staff. This of course is no excuse to be rude to customers who do not speak any Spanish. But it's human, I believe.

First and foremost the staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful, they make you feel as though you should be grateful to be allowed to stay there. They clearly have no training in customer service or hospitality of any description. The WIFI does not work (a shoulder shrug was the only explanation given), the lift rarely works (hotel has 7 floors), and the room service finishes extremely early. The bar man nearly had a fit when I requested a coffee to take up to my room, promptly swiping the jug of milk away in fear I might try use it all. Please go elsewhere for your money's worth, there are some wonderful, less expensive hotels in Granada.

We visited Granada in 2011 for a week and this hotel was great. Rooms were modern and stylish, big beds, flatscreen TV, and a clean and spacious en-suite. The pool was definitely the best feature of this hotel, situated in a lovely outdoor area, and perfect for cooling off after a morning of sightseeing in the Spanish sun. The hotel is located just outside the immediate centre of Granada, it was around a 10-15 minute walk down a straight road to all of the major squares, restaurants, and attractions. Would gladly visit again.

We stayed for 7 nights at the Saray hotel and had a wonderful visit. The hotel is close enough to town to be able to access all of the great bars and restaurants but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. The pool is excellent and not too over-crowded with lots of space in the sun or shade. The weather in August is extremely hot so it makes it difficult to do the sightseeing so the pool was a great facility to have! Loved Granada and the hotel - would recommend both thoroughly.

First of all it is easy to find and we were ale to park underground to keep the car cool. Secondly the stifling heat outside was relieved by the cool hotel's lobby with moorish details and the very kind staff. We took the amusing outdoor elevators to our floor and changed and rested. We had a quick lunch at a tapas bar on the Tapas route of Granada (yes there is!) and then came back to cool down in the pool and siesta. The beds are comfortable and you have a choice of pillows. Much appreciated! The blackout curtains were useful in the 38 degrees Celsius sun. The breakfast was very plentiful and varied. We loved Granada and the Hotel Saray helped greatly.
