In the holy land of the Tapa there is a moment that you want something else. El Piano is the surprise.
Don't go for the first impression outside but go in, look at the variety of food, speak with the lady- owner and her cook Karim from Lanzerote and you will be impressed by the soup and what you get in your wooden box! And not to forget the desserts!
It's an art to cook at these level in a gluten-free vegetarian kitchen! Delicious!
And for this prices it's an excellent. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful, vegetarian lunch at El Piano in Granada yesterday! We have eaten several times at El Piano in York (my son Andrew was at university there for 4 years) and always wanted to eat at the one in Granada. We were given a warm welcome and really enjoyed the wonderful food. The soup was delicious and the "main", well what can I say, each portion was equally tasty! The pumpkin dish was fabulous, especially on Halloween!!
So glad we visited and will visit again. Will also try to visit El Piano in Malaga! Thank you so much and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Lots of the food was gluten-free, and all of it was tasty. It is certainly not a fancy restaurant. Everything has been made in advance, you place your order by asking for items from behind a glass display case, pay at the counter, and find a seat. While we were there, people were playing piano (figuring out an Adele song) and a group of students was meeting up.

The food was very tasty, although there was no particular theme to it. The options were quite creative, and I would recommend getting dessert. Beware though: the portions are large, and dinner comes with gazpacho, a selection of options from the display case, and a drink.

Also, this is not particularly a place for people over thirty.

Thanks for your review. Delighted you liked the international menu. ALL our food is made fresh daily on site (except the corn tortillas), ALL without gluten and ALL without animal products. As what we offer is apt for people with allergies and intolerances we would never say that we were targeting any particular age group. (Indeed the average age of the EL PIANO GRANADA staff is 40...) Our customers range from students (who seem to have been plentiful during your visit) to mothers and infants, professionals, fellow traders, retired people and so forth. Many of them have no eating limitations at all - just love the food as you did. During the tomato season we use organic tomatoes from our farm to offer gazpacho daily. The 9.95 meal deal of soup, four savouries, a dessert and drink also includes other soup options too!

We were delighted to find this vegetarian place for lunch. Given the quality of the food and the low cost, it was surprisingly quiet on a Monday. The set-up is a very well-presented chilled display of a wide selection of prepared dishes, from which you choose 4 which are placed in an attractive wooden disposable tray for reheating, if needed. The service was very friendly and helpful.

The ambience isn't enhanced by the neon strip lighting, and a ceiling which looks as though it may have suffered a leak or two. But don't be put off by this comment if you are looking for a plate of wholesome deliciousness served with a smile.

You made us smile when you mentioned leaks...o dear...a leak or two certainly, more like four or five...a definite hazard when there are flats above...if we ever get out of this recession we will get the whole ceiling re-plastered - at the moment the lick of paint will have to do...as for the strip lighting, the local authority, in their remarkable wisdom, require it...grrrrrrrrr. We have managed to offset it a little by taking out 50% of the tubes...our only hope is that people look more DOWN at their plates and LESS up at the ceiling...
